Located in rural green Horpmaal, among the fruit trees, is the Haspengouw protected heritage "Het Goed van Gothem". Over the years, this unique, seventeenth-century square farmhouse has been developed from a gatehouse and residence for nuns into a renovated party location. After further restoration works, The Good of Gothem is now being rebranded to its original name and character.  At The Good of Gothem, you can enjoy an idyllic setting for any party occasion - brand new, but more authentic than ever.

The three halls of Het Goed van Gothem each have a different character and size. With its fully walled courtyard and south-western garden in the midst of beautiful nature, Het Goed van Gothem offers an appropriate setting for every occasion of your big day. Extra special are the brand-new sleeping quarters in the old house and the glamping site with views over the Hesbaye fields, where you, as a couple, together with your family and close friends can extensively reflect on your party. She will personally assist you from day one for a unique setting and perfect interpretation - from the most suitable place for your dream ceremony, photo shoot or opening dance to the choice of your favourite creative food concept.

The gatehouse and living quarters of Het Goed van Gothem form the front of the closed farmstead. You immediately encounter one of the most special places when you walk through the gatehouse: the 450-square-metre courtyard with well. The authentic, ivy-covered brick walls cut you off from the outside world. Instant holiday feeling guaranteed. This 'kids proof' courtyard of Het Goed van Gothem is perfect for an intimate reception, a show-cooking barbecue, a spectacular opening dance under a curtain of lights or a hip food truck festival. 

The inner courtyard of Het Goed van Gothem offers direct access to the various party rooms: 

• The Chapter Room is a hall with authentic arched vaults, supporting limestone pillars and bluestone dining trays. Today, these serve for the presentation of cold drinks. The Kapittelzaal of Het Goed van Gothem can accommodate 70 people for a seated dinner or 150 people for a standing reception or walking dinner.
• The middle room, the Little Barn, is a smaller space with high wooden ceiling and majestic old beams - perfect for an intimate, relaxed party of 50 seated and 100 standing for a reception or walking dinner. For larger parties, the Small Barn at Het Goed van Gothem serves as a central reception area for your guests.
• Finally, the Great Ten Barn, the 300-year-old showpiece of this heritage site, has been fully restored after years of restoration work. Today, this hall of Het Goed van Gothem is the setting for unique party experiences. The characteristic hall with its authentic bricks and wooden beams, extra stage floor and atmospheric lighting creates an intimate, fairy-tale atmosphere. Here you can have a seated dinner with 150 guests or a reception for 300.

You can also enjoy an idyllic ceremony or garden party in the afternoon and evening sun, in the garden on the south-western flank of the farmstead. Or how about blowing your guests away with an original setting for your ceremony in the beautiful Haspengouw countryside? The internationally acclaimed architectural work of art "Reading between the Lines", a see-through church amidst the panoramic landscape, is the place to be for an original wedding ceremony.
