Ceremony

A wedding ceremony is an extremely personal and unique moment, and it all becomes even more beautiful and intense with your chosen music, especially when it is performed live. Because at that moment you don't just listen to the music, you feel it, sometimes right down to your toes...

You will have carte blanche when it comes to the choice of songs. If you find it difficult to come up with the right songs, you can certainly draw inspiration from Marijke's extensive repertoire. Check out her Spotify playlist here:

Reception

During a reception, people chat, laugh, eat and drink. But it is even more enjoyable with live music.

Marijke usually provides 1.5 hours of live music, but this can of course be extended. Be sure to ask about the possibilities for additional musicians, for example.

Ceremony & reception

When you book the combination of these two, you can easily extend the musical style and atmosphere of the ceremony to your reception.

If the ceremony and reception take place at different locations, we will look for the most suitable solution to ensure a smooth transition. Marijke has enough equipment to set up two separate configurations, so that there is no waiting time between the two events and everything is ready to go.

Live music during the dinner party or an opening dance are also possible. Everything is negotiable!

Extras

For receptions you can book extra musicians, such as a bass guitarist or a saxophonist. This creates a different vibe and gives the music a little more ‘body’. This is always subject to availability.

Marijke also performs as Mary, the leading lady of the Party Rock cover band Mary and The Maniacs. No romantic songs, but a completely different genre: heavy rock, blaring guitars, ACDC stuff and the like. Ideal for getting your party going.

Of course, you can also book Marijke for many other events, such as company parties and private parties, for example a birthday, a birth, an anniversary, etc.

About Marijke

Marijke grew up in a family where music flowed through the veins, and her passion was kindled from the cradle. She started taking violin lessons at the age of six, and soon followed up with piano, singing and percussion. When she was 14, she wrote her first own song, and since then music has never let her go. Whether she is on stage with her rock band or solo behind her piano or guitar, Marijke always creates the perfect atmosphere, from powerful rock to the most beautiful easy listening acoustics.
