Ayron proposed to 'his' Myriame on September 6, 2023, with a private dinner at her favorite location: Domein 't Eikennest in Beerst, Diksmuide. What was already decided with this proposal? Their wedding date and venue! Read their story below.

A Modern Love Story

Myriame and Ayron met each other in 2018 through Instagram. Myriame says: “Our first contact on Instagram quickly faded because we lived far apart and were both busy with our different jobs. However, in the summer of 2019, we ran into each other at the WECANDANCE festival in Bruges. That’s where everything really started between us,” Myriame explains.

Private Dinner by the Water

Ayron planned to propose to Myriame on September 6, 2023, and immediately set their wedding date and venue - even before he popped the question. Ayron explains: “I rented out Domein ‘t Eikennest in Beerst, Diksmuide entirely for our proposal. With hostess Hilde, I also arranged for us to stay there overnight. I knew Myriame absolutely wanted to get married, and that Domein ‘t Eikennest was her dream location. So, I already booked with Hilde that we would get married at this location on July 27, 2024.”

“Additionally, I arranged a dinner for Myriame and me by the water at this domain with two friends. Both of these friends work in a culinary restaurant, so I asked them to create an exclusive menu for our proposal. What they did for us was very special. It made everything perfect!”

From One Surprise to Another

For Myriame, their engagement was an unforgettable experience: “During the proposal, I went from one surprise to another. Ayron proposed to me, we then enjoyed a private dinner, and our wedding date was already set! On July 27, 2024, we would tie the knot at Domein ‘t Eikennest. Ayron knew I really wanted this, and he arranged everything so well! I never dreamed I would be getting married as soon as July 2024!” beams Myriame.

As the cherry on top, Ayron had the entire proposal filmed with a drone. “We can now always carry this memory with us and relive it,” the couple says enthusiastically.

Carte Blanche for Myriame

Meanwhile, Myriame has fully dived into the wedding preparations, and they are going smoothly. Myriame: “Besides the date, location, and DJ - which Ayron chose - I have complete ‘carte blanche’ for our wedding plans. The division of tasks is clear: I handle and decide on the remaining matters. Of course, we discuss a lot together, like who we will invite and what the menu will be. This way of working is actually very easy; I really enjoy working on our wedding plans.” smiles Myriame. “And she does it fantastically!” adds Ayron proudly.

“We have already secured many vendors, including our master of ceremonies Hanne from Spreeuw Events. She supports and guides us in some decisions. We mainly want to make it a day where we celebrate our love with everyone who is dear to us. All the guests color our lives in some way. If the weather gods are also kind to us, nothing can go wrong!” winks Myriame.

Bachelor/Bachelorette Weekend!

Ayron’s bachelor party took place from May 16 to 20, 2024, and Myriame’s from May 28 to 30, 2024. “We both created a chat group with our closest friends whom we wanted to have there. Then we left the groups ourselves so that our friends could arrange everything. They decided everything for those days. Very exciting!” laughs Myriame.

One Last Golden Tip...

Finally, the couple gives a golden tip for future brides and grooms: “Don’t forget to enjoy every moment: the proposal, the preparations, and... soon for us: the wedding itself!”
