For shaping your wedding, a mood board can be a great help for you and your wedding planner or designer. From wedding dress to wedding cake and gifts, you carefully store everything on your online inspiration board. But how do you get started? We will give you some tips and tricks!

Mood boards with tonnes of inspiration, hundreds of quotes and photos of real weddings? You'll lose north faster than you think. Before starting your own board, it's best to keep one thing in mind: ‘How can I make our wedding as personal as possible?’. Let all styling elements fit your story as a couple. Follow your intuition and work around your passions and interests. An online tool like Pinterest offers masses of inspiration. Don't ‘copy-paste’ boards, but gradually bring your own story to life. A wedding designer can help you turn your creative boards into your real wedding.
Wedding planner: Be Your Guest
From those hundreds of photos on your online mood board, work towards a selection of styling details that you are very likely to use. Keep in mind the overall picture of your wedding, and extend that line to your venue, printing, decoration and so on. A coherent, carefully selected mood board will make things a lot easier for you and your wedding planner or designer.
Create not one, but several mood boards. Enough categories ensure an orderly approach: ‘Shoes’, ‘Wedding Cake’, ‘Bridal Bouquet’, ... This way, all sub aspects of your wedding take shape and you can coordinate everything. Better one board too many than too few... Your wedding planner or designer will thank you!
