Guestbook at your wedding: traditional or original?

At the end of your wedding party, your friends and family will probably leave a final message for you in your guest book. This way, you will have a nice reminder of everyone who attended. Did you know that a guest book does not always have to be a ‘book’? We list some options that, besides the traditional book, are also super fun!

House of Weddings only recommends products and services that we ourselves warm to and/or have personal experience with. We may receive a commission when you book something through our links. The traditional guest book

The traditional guest book is the most well-known. You pick a nice book and place it at the exit or in a cosy spot at your wedding party. This way, your guests can write a nice note for you. You can personalise the guest book with your initials, a special shape or an original cover. Think wood, or a cover you can paint yourself afterwards.

Polaroid guest book

Very fun and trendy: the Polaroid guestbook. Place a Polaroid camera at the exit of your party room, or in a cosy spot at your wedding party. The moment your guests go home or pass by, they can take a cool photo and write their name on it. Hang the photos up, stick them in a photo book or let your guests fill in a ‘friends book’ or guest book.

Wishing tree

A wishing tree is, as you read it: a tree full of wishes. Buy a cardboard tree or a real (small) tree and place it in your party room. Your guests hang cards in it with a wish for you and their name on it. Bet your wishing tree will soon become the eye-catcher of your living room at home.

Playful guest books

Could it be a bit more playful? How about a game of Jenga? Here, each guest writes a wish for you on a wooden block. This way, they literally help build your future!

A puzzle can also make a very fun and unique guest book. Have your guests write a small message on a puzzle piece, so the two of you can put this puzzle full of positive messages together afterwards.

Or how about a... message in a bottle? Buy a nice bottle and have each guest write a message on a small piece of paper. They can then post their message in your bottle.
