An atmosphere for every season
Perhaps you have a preference for a particular season? Both the weather forecast and the atmosphere and experience are different for each season. Start from your individuality as a couple, and think about the feeling you want to experience on your wedding day. Do you like nice long dinners, lots of opulence and cosiness? Then a winter wedding is perfect for you. It gets dark quicker, so you can create a very intimate atmosphere with candlelight. With any luck, it will even start to snow outside... But are you fervent festival-goers who sign for a delicious cocktail on a sultry summer evening? Then go for a summer wedding, and know that - if you send out your Save the Date in time - your friends and family will plan their holidays around your wedding day. Party rooms often still have dates available in July and August.
Do you like symbolism?
Romance at its best: getting married on a day that means something very special to you as a couple. The date when you met, when you had your first date or that day when you shared that first kiss. In 2007, 7 July proved wildly popular: three times the magic number seven, on 07/07/07. The harbinger of a fantastic marriage! A unique number combination can also give a wedding date that extra touch.
The preferences of your entourage
You could also ask your most important guests, such as your family and closest friends, which dates are an insurmountable no-go for them and arrange your wedding date accordingly. Really limit your enquiries to a very small circle of invited guests otherwise you might not get married next year....
Availability of your (favourite) venue
Perhaps you had the party room of your dreams in your sights years ago? Once engaged, get in touch with your favourite wedding venues as soon as possible and find out about their availability. Make sure you have a signed contract with the operators of your favourite venue or tent supplier. Only send out your Save the Date when you are sure of all the terms and conditions involved in hiring your dream venue.
