The black classic

A black dinner jacket continues to do well in the wedding market. This timeless classic is a traditional, safe choice that exudes elegance and class. Are you a total fan of this black dinner jacket, but still want to make it your own thing? Nothing stops you putting your own spin on this style. Go for a trendy look with a fitted wedding suit and shorts! For a completely separate but stylish look, choose your own cufflinks, a coloured tie or bow tie and add a black shirt!

Colour

More and more grooms are opting for a coloured suit. Blue is a stylish choice that always does well, all year round. Other shades such as bordeaux, greys and greens are also becoming increasingly popular. Beige, white and pastel colours are also increasingly chosen and are perfect for a summer wedding.

Plaid

Plaid is all the way back. Today, this print is a fun addition to your wedding suit. Go all the way for a full plaid suit in a specific colour such as blue or grey. You can also elaborate on this choice with small details, such as in your waistcoat or shirt and emerge in an original gentlemen's look !

Skin fit

It used to be fashionable to wear your costume generously. So the vest and trousers fell big on your body. In a world of skinny jeans and tight dresses, skin fit tailored suits became more popular. Today, the shoulders are made narrower and the arms are raised for a slimming effect. Thus, the suit almost seems to have become a second skin on your body. The trouser legs also got a drastic makeover. Flanking (walking around with your ankles bare) is a fashion trend that also affects the tailored suit market. It makes you look optically taller.

Velvet

In 2017, velvet was launched as a megatrend in fashion land and the wedding industry knew it too. Grooms jumped on the velvet bandwagon en masse to also look stylish for the (wedding) day. Are you a real daredevil? Then you can get away with a velvet suit in a striking colour such as green or red. Want to keep it a little quieter? Then blue is a great option to highlight this trend.

Combine with braces or a bow tie

Did you choose a boho wedding as your theme? Are you a total fan of vintage style? Can it be a bit different? Then go for a coloured suit (brown, beige or grey tones) combined with braces and possibly a bow tie. Dressing your groomsmen or men of the suite in the same style will give your party a look that is fun, unique and a touch different. The groom then naturally prefers to stand out with a few extra details, such as a different shade of suit, a different colour bow tie and a striking corsage.

Shirts with fun prints

The combination of shirts with fun prints and classic (coloured) suits is also becoming increasingly popular. The classic raised, white shirts are increasingly being replaced by eye-catching shirts to add an extra detail or personal touch to your look. You can keep it as simple or as bold as you like: stripes, checks, polka dots, flowers... the possibilities are endless.
