At home
Do you prefer to keep this special moment private and understated? Then it is ideal to organise your first look at home. In the security of your own little home, you can let your emotions run wild with each other. Want to bet that all the nerves you felt beforehand will be gone immediately? If you wish, invite your parents and witnesses too and let your day of celebration begin immediately.
In the photo
More and more couples choose to invite their photographer, who can experience their first look and capture it on film. Beautiful photos full of emotion are guaranteed! A first photo shoot often follows, a few hours before the ceremony. The setting is still quite relaxed, everyone's hair and make-up are still perfect, and a first tick on your to-do list!
In church
Having your first look in church is traditional, AND very romantic. Enjoy majestically striding forward down the long walkway, while you completely enchant your partner in front step by step. Moreover, not only will your partner see you for the first time, but also all your friends and family present. Thus, they too are part of the emotional moment when you and your partner get to see each other for the first time.
In the town hall
When you see each other for the first time in the town hall, you can choose to have the first look at each other in the ceremony hall itself. This way, everyone can witness this official moment. For an extra wow factor, it is always nice if one of you stylishly descends a staircase, or stylishly walks up to the other....
Wherever your first look takes place, make sure this moment is captured as perfectly as possible. For example, it is nice to ask two photographers to capture this unique moment: one photographer who captures the emotions of one partner, and one who focuses on the other! In addition, it is useful to leave your stuff with your bridesmaids or groomsmen for a while. An image is so much prettier without a smartphone or handbag in sight!
