Make your wedding menu truly memorable with these 5 tips from Great Traiteur

Your wedding day is one of the most beautiful days of your life; a day full of love, emotion and flavour. Because besides saying “I do” and your first dance, the dinner is also a memory that will linger. Frédéric d'Oultremont of Great knows better than anyone how to turn every dish into a story that your guests will remember long after your big day. In this article, he is happy to share five tips.

1. A culinary adventure starts with quality

"An unforgettable wedding menu starts with top-quality products,’ says Frédéric. ‘At Great, we consciously choose fresh, seasonal and organic products."

In addition, equal attention is paid to every aspect of the dinner, from the refined sauces to the matching wines and the festive dessert. "Our chefs know their craft and the products they use. They know exactly how to bring flavours together in a harmonious whole."

2. Think about the visual presentation

"You don't just eat with your taste buds," smiles Frédéric. "Of course, the eye wants something too. Surprising your guests visually with a dish always makes a lasting impression. That's why we make sure that every plate looks as refined as it tastes. Think of a sauce elegantly draped over the plate, fresh garnishes that make the dish shine or a colour palette that matches the season. Every dish is a small work of art."

    3. Your menu, your story

"Are you adding a personal touch to your wedding menu? Then you can count on wonderful memories," says Frédéric. "That's why we start with a basic menu and adapt it completely so that every detail fits into the couple's dream picture. Anything is possible. For example, we had a couple who wanted to build their menu around their favourite wine. Our chef created a few dishes that paired perfectly with it. That's how you really make an impression. There are also many other possibilities. Think of food sharing, unique customised wines, a completely vegetarian menu or cocktails and mocktails made with local products."

      4. Take your time

A wedding day often flies by. However, everything comes to a standstill during dinner. Frédéric: "This is the moment when the couple and their guests can really relax. Sit down, enjoy each other's company and, above all, savour every detail on their plate. To give your guests that real total experience, make sure the dinner lasts long enough. This gives your guests the chance to really enjoy the dishes, the flavours and the presentation. Because every dish tells a piece of your story and that deserves the attention it deserves."

        5. Pamper your guests

"Finally, excellent service is essential for a successful dinner. Dinner should be a total experience for the guests. Our staff is not only professional, but also flexible and attentive. Whether it's an intimate dinner for twenty guests or a banquet for two hundred, we want to pamper all our guests and leave a great impression," concludes Frédéric.
