Who are you going to buy your wedding dress with?

Are you going to buy your wedding dress soon? Of course, you don't want to do that alone. Happy to get some advice from your loved ones. Important here is that you keep your entourage limited. This way, you limit the number of opinions and respect the precious time of your designer or the staff of your favourite bridal shop. Who are you going to buy your wedding dress with?

Your mum

Do you have a good relationship with your mum? Then your mum knows you inside out, and knows what you are good with. As such, asking your mum along to the bridal shop is the logical, first choice for many brides. She can be one of the members of your bridal entourage in the shop, or you can choose to make it a mother-daughter-only get-together.

Your dad

Are you a real daddy's girl? Then choose to bring your dad along to your date. Bet he will completely melt when he sees you in the perfect dress?

Your mother-in-law

Are you two hands on deck with your mother-in-law? Then it is a lot of fun to ask her along. After all, you will soon become an official part of her family!

Your sister or brother

Do you have a favourite sister or brother? Then it might be fun to include her or him in your choice. She or he has known you all your life, and knows well what you like. Besides, your sister or brother might not mince words if a dress doesn't suit her or him!

Your best man

Do you already know who you will ask as best man? Then it will probably be great fun for that person to be invited along when you go to try on wedding dresses. This way, your best man will be fully involved in your wedding preparations right from the start.

Your grandma or grandpa

Your grandparents are your biggest fans, and have been since childhood. In any case, they will be delighted to be part of your wedding party. Should you ask one of them to go and choose your dress with you, they will surely be absolutely shining with pride!

Your bride-to-be

More and more brides choose to bring their fiancee along to their fitting appointment. Of course, your partner knows you like the best. Perhaps you would like to choose a dress that you are sure your partner will really like?

Tip: when thinking about choosing who to buy your wedding dress with, the most important thing is that you feel 100% comfortable with them, and that you value their opinion. Take one to two people with you, not more. You will find that ‘the more people, the more opinions’ also applies here... ;-)
