1. Bright, cheerful colours
Bright colours are back in 2024. There are plenty of bold, cheerful colour combinations to choose from for your bridal bouquet and floral decorations. Let your florist make it look stunning, and your flowers will make for a colourful wedding celebration!
2. Sustainable flowers
Sustainability is again one of the important wedding trends for 2024, and it certainly applies to your flowers as well. Would you like to take nature into account and choose a sustainable bridal bouquet and floral decoration? Then make very conscious choices. Go for locally grown flowers that suit the season - don't choose tulips in autumn, for example. Work with a florist committed to sustainable flowers; they know the advice. Seasonal organic flowers and dried flowers are already sustainable choices!
3. Wild and free
Following the sustainable flower trend, it is ín to choose a very 'natural' or wild-looking bouquet. With feathery flowers or leaves and wild flowers, such as poppies or red clovers, you create organic and asymmetrical shapes. Also, your florist will leave some open space in your bouquet, so it looks like you happened to pick the flowers while walking in nature. This creates a dreamy, spontaneous look.
4. Minimalist
This year, 'petite' bouquets are once again all the rage! Like last year, bridal bouquets can be smaller, finer and more subtle. Even the flower arrangements on the tables are rather minimalist. By choosing just a few types of flowers and limiting the different colours, you can create a casual look that matches your wedding dress - without taking the attention away from it. Plus, it allows you to highlight your favourite flower!
5. Natural elements
Do you want to incorporate other natural elements in your wedding party besides flowers? Then this trend is for you! This year it is trendy to work with a lot of natural -sometimes unexpected- materials. Moss, branches, leaves and even fruit and vegetables -such as limes at your summer wedding- are totally in. Apples, pumpkins and leaves already fit nicely into an autumn wedding. Pine cones, nuts and mistletoe, on the other hand, complement a winter wedding beautifully. Be creative and play with the shapes and colours. The crazier, the better - as long as everything fits nicely within the whole of your styling, of course!
