1. Pastel colours and earth tones
Colours, please! More and more brides and grooms are moving away from the traditional black or dark blue wedding suit and opting for bright colours instead. Think pastel colours such as lavender, baby blue or peach, which are perfect for a spring or summer wedding. Earth tones such as taupe, terracotta, khaki and brown also continue to grow in popularity. These shades give a warm, natural look, perfect for both indoor andoutdoor weddings.
2. Patterns and prints
Although bright colours are becoming increasingly popular, classic shades such as grey, beige and navy are still popular. In 2025, these colours are often given a modern twist with cool prints and patterns. For example, subtle floral prints or paisleys add a pleasing detail. Patterns such as stripes, checks and other geometric shapes, on the other hand, create a bold look. In short, neutral colours are still a favourite and are increasingly being given a touch oforiginality.
3. Completely personalised
More and more brides and grooms want their own wedding suit. You can have your suit made to measure and add one or more personal details, such as a monogram of your initials or other personalised embroidery. In many costume shops, the possibilities are endless. For example, you can often choose the lining you want for the inside of your suit. Do you opt for a design to match the theme of your wedding party, or a collage of your best couple photos? A wedding suit has never been so unique!
4. Double-breasted suit
The double-breasted suit is also one of the wedding suit trends of 2025. While remaining true to the classic suit, this suit offers an extra touch of sophistication. The double row of buttons on the waistcoat emphasises the waist and makes the shoulders appear optically wider. The cut is very important here. Are you going for this trend? Then opt for a tailor-made suit!
5. Accessories
Accessories can complete your outfit. More and more brides and grooms are opting for real statement pieces. Think of trendy braces or pocket squares, socks, ties and bow ties in contrasting colours or striking patterns. Cufflinks come in all sorts of colours, shapes and materials. What's more, all these accessories can be personalised, for example with your initials.
6. Shoes that are out of the ordinary
As a groom, you don't have to stick to the classic black or brown lace-up Oxford shoes for your wedding day. You can also opt for non-traditional wedding shoes such as leather loafers or ankle boots for a timeless look. Want a more contemporary look? Then chelsea boots or suede loafers are an excellent choice. Even white trainers will gain in popularity in 2025, because they're comfortable and fashionable!
