Intimate wedding party, ‘en petit comité’

More and more couples are opting for an intimate wedding party. Isn't it nice to limit your guest list to your 60-80 close relatives and friends - with no obligations? Are you still hesitating between celebrating with a large guest group or in a small circle? We list some of the advantages of a slightly smaller-scale party for you.

1. More time and attention for each other
When you invite fewer guests, you can dedicate much more time to each guest – and to each other. At a large celebration, your attention is divided among hundreds of guests, whereas at an intimate wedding you can truly converse, share memories, and enjoy moments together. Quality over quantity applies here.
2. Stronger group bonding
At an intimate celebration, guests feel not only closer to the couple but also to each other. The atmosphere is more personal, making it easier for people to connect with other attendees. This leads to more interaction, conviviality, and often even new friendships.
3. Budget viewed differently
Just like your precious time, you will also be able to spread your budget over fewer guests. A trendy cocktail during the reception, a menu with more courses, more attention to decoration, a small gift for each guest on their way home, ... You will find that you can spend your budget differently by cutting down on the guest list.
4. More party rooms
Large groups require the right accommodation. Sufficient capacity often plays tricks on couples when looking for the perfect party room for a large wedding. In contrast, a small wedding can easily take place at unique, unusual venues such as a trendy rooftop bar, a charming country estate or a small castle. How about a wedding in the centre of Ghent? Party rooms Gaston and Red Loft are the ideal party rooms to enjoy a view of the beautiful city. Would you rather celebrate your wedding in the heart of West Flanders? 't Convent 2.0 offers a unique and trendy atmosphere. Do you prefer renovated farmhouses? Kattebroek is a recently renovated U-shaped farmstead with modern outbuildings and high windows, located in Dilbeek.

5. Enjoy longer
A nice idea could also be to ask your limited group of guests for a party over several days, in Belgium or abroad. Kick off the weekend together over a relaxed Friday evening, ask everyone to stay overnight after the dance party on Saturday and end on Sunday with a sumptuous brunch with the whole party. Enjoy longer together - for the same money!
