An intimate, southern wedding celebration at Limburg's Domain Clos St. Denis

Domain Clos St. Denis, a charming castle farmstead in Vliermaal, Limburg, was owned by the proud Denis family for many years. ‘The pater familias was firmly at the stove of his thriving two-star business there from the 1980s,’ explains general manager Erik Notelaers. Meanwhile, Limburg hospitality group Kachet has been operating this special wedding venue since April 2023.

Total renovation for Domain Clos St. Denis
The beautiful manor house received a total makeover while retaining all the authentic, charming elements. Everything was considered. For instance, the acoustics and interior were tackled inside, and even the garden was given a complete makeover. ‘I can tell you with some pride that since the recent total renovation, our domain offers a dream setting for couples’, says Erik Notelaers, manager of the domain.
A dynamic experience
‘Domain Clos St. Denis exudes an authentic, southern charm through its enchanting gardens and courtyard. The most frequently heard feedback is that guests feel like they are in Provence,’ Erik boasts. Quel bonheur! As such, the estate is completely surrounded by colourful orchards. ‘There is no shortage of photogenic nooks and crannies on our domain,’ smiles Erik. He boasts that all dear guests are led into a different corner of the estate for each part of the party. ‘That way you create a truly dynamic experience, both inside and outside.’
Soft sleep
Domain Clos St Denis makes five luxurious suites available to guests. ‘In addition, a stone's throw away is a luxurious bed and breakfast with another five double rooms.’ So the bride and groom and their main guests can be well pampered. ‘Especially if our estate is booked for a weekend, this is a great asset,’ Erik confirms.
Worries overboard
"Everything is provided. Everything was thought of during the renovation, without renouncing the charm of the property," Erik observes. For seated dinners, the kitchen can serve a maximum of about 100 guests, for standing dinners it is 150.
From 1 September 2024, top chefs Anne-Sophie Breysem and Jaume Soler, a proven Belgian-Spanish chef duo, will come on board at Domain Clos St Denis. Despite her young age, Anne-Sophie was already shaving high peaks in the Belgian culinary world: she was crowned ‘Ladychef of the Year’ in 2015 as the youngest female chef ever. Starting in September, Chef Anne-Sophie and Jaume will pamper your guests here with surprising creations of culinary excellence, working with seasonal and local ingredients.
