Are you invited as a guest to a wedding? If so, there are some style rules that you would undoubtedly like to keep in mind! You can find them in this article.

Follow the dress code

An important task for you as a guest at a wedding is to ascertain the desired dress code. Is the wedding conceived rather casually or is gala attire a must? For the couple, this choice is important, as they have often conceived the styling of their wedding around a particular theme. It is also possible that the bridal couple has chosen a special theme colour, such as ‘a touch of red’. In that case, it is nice to go along with this for a bit, as this will make the colourful panorama extra lively.

Go all the way

Weddings are the ideal opportunity to complete your look as a guest. The festive setting becomes even more festive when the effort you put into your appearance is directly proportional to your love for the wedding couple. Experiment plenty with colours and accessories. For example, in summer it is quite fun to opt for a pastel shade. Or go for a cool tailored suit? At a wedding, you can look just that little bit more fabulous.

Breaking in your shoes

Have you bought new shoes to go to a wedding? Be sure to break them in well beforehand! That way, you can keep your look undisturbed throughout the evening and you won't be bare, aching feet halfway through the evening. By the way, you don't necessarily have to wear heels at a wedding, elegant sandals or ballerinas can be just as beautiful. And often a lot more comfortable!

Attention to the bride

Although we stated above that a bridal party is the time to go all out, it is important not to overshadow the bride. So definitely do not put on a long white dress, because white is only for the bride! Excessive hats or over-the-top accessories are also out of the question, as this will distract attention from the bride.
