You don't want to forget these musical moments at your wedding!

Music is so much more than an opening dance or an entrance at your ceremony. It sets the mood throughout your entire wedding day, brings out emotions and makes every moment just that little bit more magical. Yet many couples forget how many important moments there are when music makes all the difference. From your preparations to the last dance: these are the musical moments at your wedding that you shouldn't miss.

1. The preparations

Start your day with a calm - or energetic getting ready playlist while you prepare with your close friends and family. This immediately creates a cosy atmosphere. Have you planned a first look? Then a soft, meaningful song is a nice addition to this moment.

2. Ceremony

Music plays a key role during the ceremony, from the music while your guests take their seats and during your grand entrance to musical interludes and your exit as newlyweds. Choose music that suits you – live music always creates an extra personal experience that you and your guests will remember for a long time to come.

3. Welcome guests & reception

Background music or a fun live band also adds warmth and conviviality when welcoming your guests and during the reception.

4. Small musical moments at your wedding with a big impact

Also consider music while taking photos or throwing the bouquet. Even short transitions, such as moving to another room, gain atmosphere with a musical accent.

5. Entrance into the hall & dinner

While everyone is taking their seats at the table and especially for your entrance as newlyweds into the hall, it is best to choose an upbeat song: this is the moment to set the tone for the party! During dinner, soft music brings calm and atmosphere. Between courses or during speeches, your DJ or live musician keeps the event lively.

6. Cutting the wedding cake

Cutting the cake is a small moment with great symbolism. With a suitable song – romantic, cheerful or surprising – you can turn it into an atmospheric mini-show. This way, you create a memorable wedding moment and a nice transition from dinner to your party. This is also often a moment when the photographer or videographer captures extra atmospheric images – all the more reason to consciously add music.

7. Opening dance(s) & dance party

End the day in style with a fantastic opening dance, possibly a father-daughter and mother-son dance, followed by a dance floor full of energy. Do you have a set end time for the party? Then think of a suitable final song to close the party.

Music creates memories. By consciously reflecting on all the musical moments at your wedding, you can turn your wedding day into not only a visual but also an auditory story that suits you perfectly.
