1. Signature drinks

A perfectly styled wedding has a theme or colour that you see popping up everywhere on the wedding day. A signature drink ensures that you even find this style in the drinks, as it is a drink that was ‘invented’ specifically for the bride and groom and their wedding party. These summer drinks are always nice and fresh and can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The choice is yours! And give your favourite drink a fun name that totally suits your theme and you will have a real signature cocktail at your wedding.

2. Masses of fruit

Summer and fruit are two words you can easily put in the same sentence. And a summer wedding party naturally needs masses of fruit. Go for a non-alcoholic fruit punch, or a homemade lemon or elderberry lemonade. For dessert, a fruit salad is an absolute hit, as are fruit satays or a chocolate fountain with strawberries. An extra fun styling tip is to carve your initials or ‘logo’ in fruit, and incorporate that into the dishes.

3. Cold soups & salads à volonté

Everyone knows Gazpacho, a cold tomato soup, but there are many variations of this refreshing soup, but with other vegetables. Think cucumber or paprika. Cold soups are perfect on a hot summer day, and you can put them in handy glasses. Salads are also refreshing and deliciously light. Try to stay away from the ‘dry’ salads that consist mainly of green leaves, but go for the Italian combination of tomato and burrata, oriental tabouleh and quinoa. Finish your salads with edible flowers, how wonderfully festive is this!

4. Colourful ice creams

Hire an ice cream cart on your big day and go for refreshing, sweet and sour fruit sorbets, rather than ice cream. Or make colourful water ices of watermelon, lime or raspberry in fun shapes. You can put your signature in these too! For example, make the water ices in the same colours as your signature drink, or pour your signature drink... into an ice cream!

5. Everything on a stick

We already mentioned fruit satays, but stop to think about it. You can put a lot, and not just desserts, on a wooden skewer. Grilled vegetables paired with a piece of steak, cubes of cheese with a sweet date, or a scampi with bacon? Just take them to the next level so that you have not only tasty but also beautiful-looking appetisers. Prickers? That's super handy for your guests to enjoy the appetisers to the full with a drink in hand, still...

6. Special waters

Because you will have a lot of BOBs, at a wedding party, but also because it is particularly thirst-quenching on a hot day: provide plenty of water. Provide a water bar, and offer different varieties of water there. From sparkling, to softly fizzy and flat, with or without an extra flavour, such as mint or a slice of lemon. Different types of glasses in different sizes, with ice cubes in special shapes or in your initials... Even drinking water becomes a party!
