As Save the Date
You have been a close-knit family for several months now, so perhaps your pet was there when the big question was popped. Enlist your four-legged friend for the first step towards your big day: your Save the Date. Create a fun image with your pet or use cute chalkboards. Now it's time to practice posing together...
As ring bearer
Your pet is an important part of your lives, so you want it to be part of your wedding ceremony. Promote your cat, dog, or rabbit to official ring bearer, giving the animal a symbolic task that has great emotional value for you. Have your pet carry a basket to the altar, or tie the rings to a special collar around its neck. Is your four-legged friend a well-trained animal that listens well? Then you could consider letting him or her walk to the altar on their own. Do you have a clumsy enthusiast at home? Then it's best to keep the ring bearer on a leash.

As a witness
Your pet knows you through and through, because it lives by your side day in, day out. There's no better (symbolic) witness imaginable!
As a photo model
You probably have hundreds (or thousands?) of photos of your angel on your cell phone. You would love to post them all on social media. So take your four-legged friend with you to your engagement or wedding shoot and you'll have an extra reason to post those cute pictures online. An added bonus: your pet may provide some welcome antics and distraction during your wedding photoshoot, ensuring you go home with lots of spontaneous and genuine photos.

As part of the suite
Your pet will undoubtedly add that extra cuteness factor to your wedding. Provide each member of the suite, from bridesmaids to witnesses, groomsmen, and pets with a flower or beautiful accent in your theme color. This way, when walking down the aisle during the ceremony, a proud four-legged friend will walk alongside a proud loved one.
