A-line
The A-line is characterised by the fitted top and the flared skirt that merge at the waist. This fit is one of the most popular models in the wedding market. In fact, you can go in different directions with it, so whether you want to go for a classic look, a boho styleor a real eye-catcher with lots of lace, there is an A-line model for every bride. This wedding dress is perfect for brides with a slim waist and wide hips.
Babydoll
With the babydoll dress, there is little difference between the bodice and the skirt. You could describe the babydoll as a flared skirt with sleeves. Because of this, the skirt starts at the breasts and thus your waistline is optically much higher. Thus, the babydoll makes you optically longer and this cut is suitable for slightly smaller women with a rather straight figure. Moreover, the babydoll is often seen as a short wedding dress.
Empire
With the empire, the waistband of the wedding dress is higher than your natural waistline. This makes the empire look like the babydoll dress, but usually the skirt extends just below your breasts towards the bottom. The empire dress camouflages a tummy because the skirt runs straight down. Like the babydoll, this model makes you look taller and accentuates your slim lower body.
Princess
We know the classic princess dress or ball gown from the fairy tale films. Brides walk around in them in a wedding dress with close-fitting bodice that flows into a gigantic skirt at the waist. The bigger the better and the more poof the better. For a real princess look, go for extra glitter, lace or tulle in a soft colour. Almost any bride can wear the ball gown because this model is so timeless.
Trumpet
Besides the wide-flared, roomy dresses, there is also an extensive range of close-fitting wedding dresses. Meet the trumpet style. This dress runs tightly along the bride's body, accentuating her curves in all the right places. The dress runs wider from the thighs, just above the knees, so the bride can still walk around easily. If you have more of an hourglass figure, the trumpet dress is the right model for you!
Mermaid
Last, but not least, the mermaid dress. This model is very similar to the trumpet dress, as the mermaid cut is also a close-fitting dress. The main difference is that this dress only widens from the knees onwards. This creates a wedding dress with a pencil skirt and flared train. The mermaid cut also highlights your curves and is therefore suitable for hourglass figures.
