The Afrikapaleis offers a historic setting for an unforgettable wedding day. Tucked away in the countryside near Brusselsand surrounded by the iconic Tervuren Park, neoclassical grandeur and modern finesse blend seamlessly here. With a sun-drenched terrace and sweeping views, we create the perfect setting for a wedding that feels both timeless and contemporary.

Event spaces

The Afrikapaleis is ideal for wedding celebrations, receptions, corporate events, networking events, symposia, product launches, workshops, galas and charity events. The Afrikapaleis comprises three magnificent halls: each unique, yet inseparable. The Historic Ballroom is a breathtaking space, offering 300 seated places (banquet) and 400 standing places (reception). The Winter Garden, a light, botanical and refined indoor venue, offers seating for 80 and standing room for 200. The Hobé Room offers seating for 40 and standing room for 80.

Catering

The exclusive catering is provided by the top caterer Huis Van Dijck, with options ranging from a refined, informal walking dinner to a high-calibre multi-course dinner, fully tailored to your aesthetic and taste preferences.

Accommodation

The Afrikapaleis does not provide accommodation itself. In the heart of Tervuren, you will find the stylish Hotel Rastelli, an elegant hotel within walking distance of the park and the museum – ideal for those who appreciate comfort and proximity.

Location

The Afrikapaleis is the former Koloniënpaleis banquet hall, dating from 1897, and forms part of the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren; it combines neoclassical grandeur with modern facilities.

Thanks to good transport links with Brussels, the venue is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Several secure cycle paths lead directly to Paleizenlaan, with cycle racks in the immediate vicinity. There is free parking for more than 280 cars around the museum.
