Welcome to La Cense de Rigaux

La Cense de Rigaux is first and foremost a place full of history, but it is also the collaboration with La Rigaudière, producer of quality organic vegetables, and with the caterer Great, known for its delicious menus.

If you want a historic venue for your wedding, La Cense de Rigaux has been around since the 12th century, but its typically Tournai architecture dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries.

In short. a beautiful courtyard to host your reception, an orchard for your ceremony and a magnificent wooden roof structure in the barn.... And above all, a pale yellow paint that protects the on-site fired brick: all this to give your wedding a cheerful and bright look.

Party rooms

Take a stroll through the estate:

• The Orchard: Weather permitting, a ceremony, cocktail or country meal can be organised under the trees. 1,500 m² at your disposal to accommodate 100 to 750 guests.
• The square courtyard: A sheltered space with a striking building in the middle, the tobacco drying room! This ventilated space is perfect for hosting a ceremony for a small gathering, sheltering your guests from the sun or light rain, or setting a few tables around a fire pit for late-night conversations. The courtyard has an area of 1,500 m² and can accommodate up to 750 people. The tobacco drying room is a 60 m² space. Are you looking for that extra charm? The square courtyard features an entrance porch with a dovecote: a magical place for photos!
• The barn: An impressive construction from the 17th century. An imposing oak construction that offers a space of 500 m². Perfect for your wedding party! With an added bonus: small brick walls that structure the space and help separate the areas between dinner and the dance party. The area of the barn can accommodate up to 400 people for a seated dinner and up to 750 people for a walking dinner or dance party. Moreover, the barn is already equipped with a recently renovated professional sound and lighting system and " Plug & Play " for your chosen DJ! 
• The stable and stables: No old farmhouse is complete without the charm of vaulted ceilings and stone troughs! The stable has been converted into a multipurpose room: a reception room for small dinners, a reception area for children and their babysitters or a "scout-style" dormitory for friends at the end of the evening. The stables are more geared towards formal and informal meetings. Moreover, the riding school and the stables each have an area of 80 m². Their capacity is thus from 10 to 70 people for a standing reception, and 10 to 40 people for a seated dinner.

Accommodation

La Cense de Rigaux can accommodate your guests for one or two nights in their Gîte des Oiseaux located in the farm building. There are 14 beds available in fully equipped accommodation for your comfort!

An estate and a service in the rhythm of the earth for your wedding

The del Marmol family therefore decided to grow organic vegetables and raise chickens on the estate itself, and thus the Rigaudière was born! So the chef takes advantage of the fields and greenhouses just 200 metres from La Cense de Rigaux to enrich your menu!
