Christiaan grew up with a man who could walk into any room and take it over: loud, funny, impossible to ignore. His father was a storyteller. His mother painted, experimented, created. Christiaan didn’t inherit the loudness. He inherited the eye.

At weddings, people notice two things: that he’s always on the move, always working, and that they have no idea when he took the photo they’ll see later. He has what one guest called “a leave-me-alone-I’m-working face” that disappears the moment someone needs him. He prefers natural light. Flash only when the atmosphere would survive it anyway. The best moments, he believes, happen during dinner and the reception, when your guests are relaxed and forget there’s a camera in the room. Those are the photos he lives for.

When you meet him, he wants to know your story. Not the Pinterest version, but the real one. He’ll tell you how he works—documentary-style first, spontaneous always—and then he’ll suggest booking the minimum number of hours for now. You can always add more later. Even on the day itself. He doesn’t pressure you. He does cake. (Three layers. Come over to his place and you might get one.)

130+ weddings in Europe since he moved here six years ago. One family entrusted him with the weddings of three siblings. That’s the real measure—not awards, just people coming back.
