Welcome to Hoeve Engelendael
A family approach lies behind Hoeve Engelendael. The Govaert - Van de Bilt family is already the 7th generation in the active farming business, specialising in arable farming and cherry growing. In 2012, they chose to convert the granary into the authentic location it is today.
The team at Engelendael will assist you from start to finish to make it an unforgettable wedding celebration. Weather permitting, the farmhouse drivers will transport your guests by golf cart to and from the reception or ceremony taking place by the idyllic creek. In case of bad weather, the reception or ceremony can still take place in the granary.
The upstairs and downstairs can be freely decorated to fully meet all your needs. After dinner, the oak parquet is opened up as a dance floor. For those who prefer some peace and quiet, they also provide a cosy lounge.
As the evening sun falls, you and your company can enjoy a cosy moment around the fire bowls on the illuminated outdoor terrace.
On 27 September 2011, the InBev-Baillet Latour Prize for the Environment 2011 was awarded by Governor André Denys and Flemish Minister-President Kris Peeters to the Marc Govaert family and Hoeve Engelendael, for integrating soft recreation into the natural and cultural landscape of the farmstead in the Kreken area of the Meetjesland.
Party rooms
In this monumental building, guests can choose to use different spaces such as a bar, ground floor, mezzanine, lounge and the terrace outside. At the back of the domain of Hoeve Engelendael, you come to the creek bank, where, weather permitting, part of the wedding party can take place in the open countryside.
