In her studio in the heart of Leuven, jewellery designer Karla Mertens creates pieces with craftsmanship, symbolism and emotional value. Since 1996, she has designed jewellery that carries a personal meaning. Each creation is made with intention, resulting in powerful, pure and unique jewels.

About Karla Mertens

Karla studied jewellery design and goldsmithing at Sint-Lucas Antwerp. She gained experience in her parents’ jewellery shop, where she developed her own style and launched her first collection. Over the years, she evolved from a classic designer to a creator of power jewellery — jewels with a gentle, supportive energy.

Her inspiration flows from ancient cultures, Reiki, life and death, sacred geometry and the power of gemstones.

Location

The studio-shop is located at Amerikalaan 15 in Leuven. You’re welcome during the following opening hours:

• Tuesday: by appointment

• Wednesday: 11:00–13:00 & 14:00–18:00

• Thursday: by appointment

• Friday: 11:00–18:00

• Saturday: 10:00–18:00
