Right in the heart of Brussels’ Grand Place stands Maison du Cygne, a historic venue where elegance, culture and heritage come together. For more than three centuries, this iconic house has welcomed thinkers, artists and prominent guests. Figures such as Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels and Jacques Brel have all left their mark here.
Today, the stylish salons and historic rooms provide the backdrop for exclusive wedding celebrations. Every moment here takes on an extra dimension thanks to the unique combination of history, character and one of Belgium’s most beautiful locations.
Banquet halls
Maison du Cygne boasts several salons, each with its own atmosphere, ambience and history.
The Bistro
The Bistro exudes the atmosphere of a sophisticated English bar. With its warm décor and impressive bar, this space provides a stylish setting for receptions, cocktail parties and intimate celebrations. The space can accommodate 60 guests for a seated dinner or 100 guests for a reception.
Louis XIV
The Louis XIV lounge combines French grandeur with an exceptional view of the Grote Markt. The balcony is undoubtedly the absolute highlight of this space. Thanks to its elegant ambience, this lounge is suitable for both receptions and dinners, accommodating up to 60 seated guests or 100 guests for a cocktail reception.
Karl Marx
The Karl Marx lounge is situated in the room where Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels worked on the Communist Manifesto. Authentic wooden panelling, large windows and a historic bar create a special atmosphere for smaller groups. This room can accommodate 20 guests seated or 50 guests for a reception.
The Club
The Club transports you to the glamour of the roaring twenties. The stylish décor and spacious layout make this room particularly suitable for larger wedding receptions. It can seat up to 110 guests for a dinner or accommodate 150 guestsfor a reception.
De Brel & De Breughel
For smaller and exclusive gatherings, there are De Brel and De Breughel. De Brel is an intimate salon where Jacques Brel loved to come to write and reflect. De Breughel combines art, history and mystery, with the special detail of an authentic secret passageway that once served as an escape route.
Catering
The culinary experience is a key part of a wedding celebration at Maison du Cygne. The chefs create refined menus that combine tradition and creativity, always with a focus on quality and flavour.
From elegant cocktail receptions and extensive buffets to gourmet sit-down dinners: every concept is tailored to your wishes and expectations. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.

Maison du Cygne does not offer its own accommodation facilities. Thanks to its central location on the Grote Markt, there are numerous hotels and charming B&Bs within walking distance of the venue, allowing you and your guests to easily stay overnight in the heart of Brussels.
Parking & Accessibility
Maison du Cygne does not have its own car park. However, there are several public car parks in the immediate vicinity, offering ample parking for your guests.
Thanks to its central location in the historic centre of Brussels, the venue is also easily accessible by public transport.
