Ceremony

A wedding ceremony is an extremely personal and unique moment, and it all becomes so much more beautiful and intense with music you’ve chosen yourselves, especially when it’s performed live. Because at that moment, you’re not just listening to the music – you’re feeling it, sometimes right down to your little toe…

Reception

At a reception, people chat, laugh, eat and drink. But it becomes so much more enjoyable with live music.

Marijke provides 1.5 hours of live music as standard, but this can of course be extended. Be sure to ask about the options for extra musicians, for example.

Ceremony & Reception

When you book a combination of these two, you can very easily carry the musical style and atmosphere of the ceremony through to your reception.

If the ceremony and reception are taking place at different venues, we’ll find the most suitable solution to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. Marijke has enough equipment to set up two separate set-ups, so there’s no waiting time between the two events and everything is ready straight away.

Live music during dinner or an opening dance is also an option. Everything is open to discussion!

Extras

For receptions, you can book additional musicians if you wish, e.g. a bass guitarist or a saxophonist. This creates a different vibe and gives the music a bit more ‘body’. This is always subject to availability.

Marijke also performs as Mary, the lead singer of the Party Rock Cover Band Mary and The Maniacs. No romantic songs here, but a completely different genre: pure atmosphere with upbeat pop/rock tracks, ripping guitars, a bit of violin here and there, and above all a great drive and solid beats. Ideal for getting your party going.

Of course, you can also book Marijke for a whole host of other events, such as corporate parties and private functions – for example, a birthday, a baby shower, an anniversary, …

About Marijke Van Nimmen

Marijke grew up in a family where music ran through their veins, and her passion was therefore sparked from the very cradle. At the age of six she started violin lessons, and piano, singing and percussion soon followed. When she was 14, she wrote her first original song, and music has never let her go since. Whether she’s on stage with her rock band or sitting solo at her piano or guitar, Marijke always creates the perfect atmosphere, from powerful rock to the most beautiful easy-listening acoustic tunes.​​​​​​​
