At Outfort, you enter through centuries-old vaults in historic brick walls and find yourself on a terrace filled with the aroma of freshly grilled meat on the barbecue, surrounded by nature. Outfort is a place where history and romance meet, nestled in the green fortress of Hoboken. Close to the city, yet away from the hustle and bustle.

Outfort exudes history. What was once a military defense line was purchased in 1977 by the then-municipality of Hoboken. Since early 2001, Outfort has operated the site and, with respect for the past, has transformed it into an atmospheric event venue where authentic vaults, rustic brickwork, and lush greenery come together to create the setting.

Event Spaces

Every space at Outfort has character. Together, they form the perfect setting for every stage of your day.

• Capponièra: Outfort’s former embrasure uniquely combines indoor and outdoor spaces. Inside, you’ll discover charming alcoves—the authentic remnants of the former embrasures—skillfully renovated into an atmospheric focal point. Adjacent to this is the beautifully covered terrace, where you’ll find yourself literally surrounded by nature. (145 seated / 250 standing)

• Binnenfort: An imposing, intimate space deep in the heart of the fort. A dream location for an unforgettable ceremony, surrounded by history. (180 seats)

• Main Front: Outfort’s semicircular officers’ mess is anything but ordinary. Ideal for those who want to surprise guests with a creative setup, an unexpected arrangement, or a spectacular party concept. (120 seated / 350 standing)

• Officers’ Messes (x2): Intimate spaces, perfect as a reception area or a quiet retreat during the reception. (50 seated)

Catering

Our regular caterer JÖRD guarantees honest, local ingredients with bold flavors. Led by chef and owner Kelly, trained at culinary school and honed in Michelin-starred restaurants, you can expect a refined buffet or a cozy sharing dinner fully tailored to your day and your story.

The heart of the kitchen? The Ofyr, which burns outside right next to the terrace. While your guests toast, they watch live as each dish is prepared with care and craftsmanship. The aroma, the fire, the conviviality: that is Outfort.
