In 1977, the then municipality of Hoboken purchased the fort. Since early 2001, Outfort has been granted the right to operate an old embrasure in the defensive wall surrounding the fort. This Capponiera has been stylishly and authentically renovated into a unique party room. Here, Outfort offers an idyllic setting for your celebration amidst authentic vaults, rustic brickwork and a beautiful outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery.

Outfort’s various rooms all play a key role on your special day: from the ceremony to the dance party.

• Capponiera: This is the embrasure of Fort 8, fully renovated with a covered terrace. On the outdoor terrace, you are surrounded by nature. 145 guests seated, 250 guests standing.
• Inner Fort – An imposing space in the heart of the fort. It lends itself perfectly to a romantic, intimate ceremony. 180 seats.
• Main Front: This is part of the officers’ quarters at Fort 8. Seating for 120 guests, standing room for 350 guests. Thanks to its original shape (a semicircle), the Main Front is an unusual venue, making it perfect for special packages, creative set-ups and surprising ideas.
• Seminar (there are two): These form part of the officers’ quarters at Fort 8. Ideal for your reception. 50 seated guests.

Catering

Outfort consistently chooses caterer JÖRD as its regular partner for catering at your event. After all, choosing JÖRD means choosing local ingredients in a high-quality kitchen. Calculated chaos with powerful flavours.

At Outfort, we work exclusively with a barbecue formula, where all dishes are freshly prepared on the Ofyr – right next to the outdoor terrace. This adds a unique show-cooking element, allowing your guests to enjoy not only delicious dishes, but also the aroma and spectacle of live barbecuing.
