Sikkema, that's Jonne and Manon. Together, the two passionate sisters are the beating heart of Sikkema.  In their workshop in Ghent, they welcome you with open arms and rolled-up sleeves. Ready to take everyone's measurements! They give you a ready-made answer and go for nothing less than bridal fashion that suits you. Always with a sense of style and an eye for quality.

Sikkema creates for (and with!) you a wedding outfit that makes you feel good and radiates that. Their basic collection is the starting point for a personal tailor-made outfit. They provide craftsmanship, contemporary yet timeless silhouettes. You add the personal touch.

'What to wear on your special day?' A simple white wedding dress or an exuberantly romantic and colourful one? Maybe you even want to get married in a jumpsuit or trousers with a top? Lots, little or no lace at all?

Sikkema focuses on modern, minimalist wedding dresses for the modern bride. Powerful, sheer silhouettes from quality materials are the starting point for your dream dress. You won't find 100 layers of tulle there but a stripe of lace or a romantic accent they will gladly add for you.

Besides bridal wear, Sikkema also offers suitewear and accessories. Accessories are an important part of your outfit and Sikkema is happy to help you with them. In their shop, they can let you try on jewellery, scarves and jumpers. They also like to think of your future husband with a matching pocket square or bow tie.

Services

At Sikkema they take you by the hand and guide you to a wedding dress (or skirt, or trousers?) that suits you perfectly, always starting from their permanent collection. You decide what you want to try on and together you find out what makes you happy. Once you make this choice, you go for your own fabric and colour. Feel, look and choose.​​​​​​​

During that first appointment, Sikkema explains their working method. Do you already know what your outfit should look like or do you have no idea and would like to be assisted? Sikkema listens and advises, you decide. You go over the options together. Do you resolutely go for that dress with a round neckline or would you like it to be different? And so you go on. Step by step. Until everything fits, looks and feels 100% as it should.

A few months after your first meeting with Sikkema, they schedule another appointment for a first fitting. They will contact you as soon as they know when your outfit will be ready. Then you will see if it fits perfectly and what small adjustments still need to be made. They can then adjust the length of your dress, so feel free to bring your shoes and other accessories along. 

You will meet again a few weeks after the fitting. They will again count on half an hour for any final touches.

You can visit Sikkema's during the day, at weekends or in the evening by appointment.
