10 tips for an optimal skincare routine
After your summer glow fades, you might reach for foundation again. Remember to thoroughly cleanse your skin daily before bed. Even if you don’t use make-up, daily cleansing is essential!
Switch from mousse and gel cleansers to oil cleansers. These are not only gentler on your skin but also provide necessary nourishment.
Exfoliating remains important. This process not only removes dead skin cells but also helps your moisturizing or nourishing cream to be absorbed more quickly.
Replace your light-textured day care with a richer cream; your skin will benefit from it. The colder and drier the air, the more hydration your skin needs!
Applying a hydrating mask weekly keeps your skin in top condition.
Do not forget the fragile area around the eyes. The skin here is much thinner than the rest of your face and requires a specific eye cream.
Your lips also need good care now. A rich lip balm is recommended.
The same goes for your hands. Here, too, choose a cream with a richer texture.
Take short showers or baths. That long, hot bath might be delightful, but your skin doesn’t appreciate it. It can dry out your skin and even cause irritation.
SPF is still necessary. Even though the sun is less intense, sunscreen will prevent skin aging, even during the winter months!
