1. Stylish stationery
Balloons are a great illustration to make a wedding invitation feel festive in no time. A sturdy cream-colored card, a beautiful font in a soft color, and then a simple balloon as an illustration. Spot on—and very stylish.
Want to take it one step further? Hide a real balloon in every envelope, ask your guests to bring it to the church service or ceremony, and have them release the balloons one by one with a handwritten wish tied to a string.
If you carry the balloon theme through to the very end of your wedding celebration, you can tie your thank-you cards to a helium balloon, and as your guests leave, each person can take a balloon with a card or photo home.
2. Loads of balloons
Loads of balloons create such a wonderful atmosphere at your wedding. Think of balloons in a tall arch, like a pergola, packed with balloons and combined with flowers in the same color tones. Or an abundance of balloons as a backdrop at the altar or during the ceremony. You’ll also make a big impression if you fill balloons all the way up to the ceiling of the reception venue.
But it can also be more subtle and simple. For example, hang one single balloon from your chair in front of the altar. Or attach one simple balloon to each chair along the aisle you’ll walk down. A few balloons in the trees at your venue, or on the signpost to show guests where the party is, is always a nice touch too.

3. Adorable flower girls and page boys
How adorable when your flower girls and page boys walk ahead of you, or welcome you at the end of the aisle holding a big balloon. A balloon with a fun message like “here comes the bride” is always a hit!
4. From numbers to letters and hearts
Balloons are also a great decorative element in the reception venue, at the tables. Hang a balloon from the couple’s chairs, or suspend small balloons above the tables with the table numbers on them. Balloons don’t have to be round, either. For instance, you can hang a number balloon above the tables with the table number on it, or place 4 letter balloons by the dessert buffet that together spell “love.” Or go for heart-shaped balloons—after all, it’s your wedding celebration!
It’s also especially nice to vary the sizes. Alternate small and large balloons, and make sure you stick to a coordinated color palette. White is subtle and simple and always works. Color can definitely be an option too, as long as you combine it tastefully.
Lastly, you’ll also find plenty of transparent balloons you can fill with something. Confetti, glitter stars, sprigs of greenery…

5. Stunning photos
Finally, balloons are one of the most rewarding props to add that extra touch to your wedding photos. Nothing more beautiful than the bride and her bridesmaids all holding a big balloon up in the air. Or the two of you with “Mr” and “Mrs”... Or what about the bride holding a bunch of colorful balloons, outside under a radiant sun, surrounded by greenery? Bet your photos will gain an extra dimension.
