Radiant skin
When your photographer takes a close-up of your face, you’ll of course want your skin to glow. You can prepare for this weeks—or even months—in advance by finding a good skincare routine. By taking great care of your skin, you also make it much easier for your make-up artist to create a beautiful look on the day itself. Think face masks and hydrating creams, but definitely don’t forget to get enough rest in the weeks leading up to your wedding! Drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy diet also have a direct impact on your skin.

Shiny hair
You can also prepare your hair perfectly for your wedding day. Just like your skin, you can hydrate your hair too. In the weeks before your wedding day, regularly use a good conditioner or a suitable hair mask. If you color your hair, it’s best to do so—after consulting with your hairdresser—well in advance. It’s also a good idea to have your ends trimmed about two weeks beforehand. That way, your locks will look fresh and healthy in your wedding photos. Discuss your wedding plans with your hairdresser in good time. He or she will work with you toward a stunning trial hairstyle and, ultimately, your final bridal hairstyle!

Suitable make-up
Maybe you’ve also booked a trial session with your make-up artist? With their help, you’ll quickly discover your most beautiful wedding look! By letting a professional do their work for you, you’ll soon know what you like, what suits you best, and how you want to look on your wedding day. Feel free to bring a few inspiring examples to your trial session, but also bring a photo of yourself where your make-up is done the way you like to see yourself most. After all, a bride who feels comfortable will radiate that too!

Take your time!
On your wedding day itself, it’s important to allow plenty of time in your schedule for your hair and make-up. That way, both you and your hairdresser and/or make-up artist can start your most beautiful day feeling wonderfully relaxed. Choose a space with natural light; it allows your make-up artist to apply your make-up at their best, and you’ll look beautifully natural in your wedding photos.

Touch it up
After a while, your skin may start to shine or your lipstick may no longer be on point. That’s why it’s a good idea to have a touch-up kit on hand, so you can quickly refresh your make-up between different photos. Think of a small pouch with, for example, powder and your lipstick. Also bring a towel for your touch-up session that you can place over your shoulders, to prevent any make-up from getting on your wedding dress.
