Less is More
If you're getting married during the Christmas season, then less is more. Forget overly traditional decorations such as red bows, snowmen, and Christmas trees. Think subtle and classy for a more stylish Christmas feel. It's important to give Christmas classics an original touch. Go for lights, red berries, wedding favors with a Christmas touch, filled mason jars, wooden elements, subtle shapes of pine trees, Christmas baubles in a calm color palette, a photo booth with red and white striped candy canes, fake snow, and Christmas quotes... Totally Christmas, but less kitsch!

Focus on the season
Avoid red or green, go for gold, silver, or white styling. “Focus on the season and the feeling you get from a winter setting. Think about the emotions that Christmas evokes in you and translate this into the composition of your styling. Don't emphasize the holiday itself, but rather the elements that appeal to you in this theme,” says Cédric Etienne of theMoodstudio. If you start with the ‘winter theme’, you're often already on the right track. Let go of the idea that everything has to be Christmas-themed. Subtle details create a much more beautiful effect. Can't resist using classic red and green? Then create a rustic, cozy atmosphere with plenty of wood, candles, and lights to soften the Christmas vibe a little. Your magic should always drown out those jingle bells...
