1. In your own garden
A prime location is often closer to home than you think. Getting married in your own garden, it could hardly be more personal. Celebrating your wedding in the garden of your parents, family or friends is a good idea if the garden is large enough and easily accessible for your suppliers and guests. Make sure you have plenty of parking spaces available, or arrange for a shuttle bus.

2. In the fields
Pitching your tent near a farmer will give you that instant outdoor feeling and cosy atmosphere.
Make sure the grounds are freshly mowed, or deliberately leave those pretty field flowers or grain around your tent. For that intense barefoot-in-the-grass feeling, opt for a casual chic dress code and a basket of personalised slippers!

3. In a castle garden
A fairytale wedding? Have your marquee erected in the grounds of a castle. These locations provide an instant fairy tale feeling. Handy: if you place your tent at an existing wedding location, you can often use the sanitary facilities and any bedrooms.

4. Into the woods
‘Into the woods’ can be taken quite literally here. With a boho or fairytale theme, extend your styling to the tent location. Let your guests enjoy the view and nature! Tip: make sure the tent has a wooden walkway and a solid floor. Specialists in the field are the people at ‘Wedding in the Woods’.

5. On a piece of heritage property
Certain heritage sites also lend themselves to the placement of your wedding marquee. Often a municipality has a special heritage site that you can rent and where you and your guests can party and enjoy the tent of your choice. Contact your city or municipality and find out what the conditions are.
