1. Less is more
Pinterest Trends shows that demand for ‘petite’ bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids is rising noticeably: bridal bouquets are becoming smaller, more delicate, and more subtle. Table arrangements are also leaning towards a minimalist style.
Want your favorite flower to truly stand out on your wedding day? You can—and it’s completely on trend.

2. Sustainable flowers
Sustainability is one of the wedding trends for 2023. Your florist can list all the flower options for your wedding, helping you achieve sustainable floral styling!
3. White-green color palette
Last year’s trend color, rust, is on its way out. This year, we’re seeing a stronger shift toward a white-green color palette. Green feels very natural and also ties back into the sustainable theme.
4. Or... an abundance of color!
The opposite of the previous trend is going all-in on color! Do you prefer shades that are close to one another, or would you rather go for a bold combination? Color blocking—combining bright (often contrasting) colors—is definitely very trendy!

5. Fan flower
“The fan flower is completely back and is available in all kinds of varieties and colors,” Myriam from El Florido tells us. This flower truly lives up to its name: it consists of fan-shaped blooms with a yellow center. The fan flower forms long, softer stems, making it the ideal plant for hanging baskets and pots. Perfect for your bohemian wedding décor!
6. Playful presentation
A playful presentation of your flowers is also part of the floral trends for 2023. For example, you can create a fun, dynamic look by working with different heights in your small vases and décor. David from Chou Fleur explains: “Combining multiple vases of different heights on the table is also completely in this year—and it’s here to stay. Vases in a variety of shapes also create a dynamic look. Decide what best suits you, your wedding theme, and the interior of your venue. Simplicity can also be beautiful: with just four or so flowers per vase, you can create a lovely and elegant effect.”

7. Flower clouds
Finally, ‘floating’ floral décor is also one of the top floral trends for 2023. Diederik from VIVA Blooming says: “Lately I’ve been getting asked more often to hang floral décor in the air. ‘Flower clouds’ are great for that. I always try to be creative with these requests and often develop other ideas that perfectly match the couple’s style. For example, I once made a huge ceiling piece measuring 12 by 2 square meters.” Other large-scale floral designs—such as ‘flower hoops’ (circular floral arches) and hanging baskets filled with your favorite flowers—are also possible. Your florist will be happy to help you further!
