Healthy and radiant skin
Start figuring out which products work best for your skin about six months in advance. From now on, cleansing and moisturizing will become a regular part of your daily skincare routine. A toner restores the pH balance and gives your skin a boost. Switching to more natural products can also greatly reduce the risk of irritation and blemishes. Why not opt for a monthly herbal facial treatment? If a professional treatment is not within your budget, there are several options for making your own face mask. For example, mix honey and quark together for a nourishing mask, or three parts honey with one part cinnamon powder for a spot treatment that will reduce pimples.
You are what you eat
Speaking of natural products, eating lots of fruits and vegetables can never hurt. The more you eat, the less room there is for less healthy foods. An easy way to get started is the “50 percent rule”: fill half your plate with vegetables. Every bite of vegetables contains up to four times fewer calories than the other foods on your plate. Not only will you get the nutrients you need, but you'll also lose some weight. Combined with eating enough fiber-rich foods (swap white bread for whole grain, for example), this will ensure that you fit into your dream dress in no time. For a radiant glow on your wedding day, a diet rich in vitamin C, with as little fat and sugar as possible, is ideal. Foods rich in good proteins such as organic eggs, fish, and poultry will prevent your blood sugar levels from rising sharply, making you feel less hungry.
Drink enough water
Water is the source of all life. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water a day can only do you good. If you don't like ‘plain’ water, skip the soft drinks and opt for flavored water or unsweetened tea instead.
Work that body!
A final key to success is exercise. You don't have to spend three hours every day sweating it out at the gym—just start by moving. Thirty minutes of exercise every day can take you a long way. Cycling, jogging, or even walking will give your energy levels a boost. That way, you'll start burning calories.
Start with determination, but without putting pressure on yourself. Make small changes to your daily routine – major efforts are sometimes less easy to maintain over time. Good luck!
