A wedding list? For us, just do a ‘honeymoon list’!

What if, instead of housewares, you could put unforgettable experiences on your wedding list? A breakfast overlooking the sea instead of a toaster, a hot-air balloon ride instead of a pressure cooker? You can. Get your guests to co-sponsor an unforgettable honeymoon thanks to the honeymoon list.

Do you think an account number on the wedding invitation is not for you? Then opt for a ‘honeymoon list’. This is a list of gifts you can enjoy during your honeymoon .

Say you are going on your honeymoon to Bali and you want to do a lot of fun activities. A candlelit dinner, a massage for two, a visit to a temple, a rafting trip, a Balinese cooking workshop, swimming among dolphins... Then make an online list of all the activities: from plane tickets and hotel stays to dinners and daytime activities. These activities can be ‘gifted’ to guests. They deposit the contribution corresponding to the activity into your bank account. For example: €25 for a visit to a temple, €70 for a Balinese massage, ...

How does it work?

A honeymoon list is a service offered by your travel specialist. It is a fun way for your guests to visualise what they are gifting.

  • On the list, provide a mix between small gifts and larger gifts. A family member prefers to spend a bit more than a distant acquaintance.
  • Invitees can click items on the list and at the bottom of the list a sum is added up. Compare it to filling in an online birth list.
  • You can specify which part of the list is a one-off gift (the item then disappears from the list as soon as it is donated) and which parts may be clicked multiple times.
  • The system asks for the donor's details (name, phone and e-mail address). The system also sends an e-mail to the donor asking for the amount of the donation to be deposited into your account number. You will receive a copy of this e-mail in your mailbox and the pennies in your bank account.
  • Add a personal text to the list with a word of explanation about your honeymoon and add a nice photo if you like.
