"The Castle of Drogenbos was designed in the 19th century by architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar, known for the Royal Saint Hubert Galleries in Brussels. He was inspired by Italy, and you can feel that in the richly decorated salons and in the “loggia” or colonnade, with its light arcades overlooking the gardens. It exudes the elegance of the “dolce vita”,‘ says Alexia.
The castle was primarily a family home and was inhabited by the Calmeyn family for a long time. ’You immediately feel a special, personal warmth there. It is a castle with a rich history and a family atmosphere."
Endless possibilities
The estate can be fully adapted to the wishes of each couple. Alexia: "The ceremony can take place in the park, surrounded by centuries-old trees, or in the loggia, a beautiful terrace area with impressive columns. Dinner is often served in the Ora Rossa marquee in the park, surrounded by glass and bathed in light, with a beautiful view of the castle. For more intimate weddings, the salons are ideal, with their elegant and refined atmosphere."
Thanks to its various spaces - the terraces, gardens, salons and modern marquee - the castle is versatile, suitable for everything from large receptions to small-scale celebrations.
