Let music tell your story
Which songs would you like to hear during your celebration? Are you thinking of certain songs with symbolic value? Is there a particular genre of music you like to hear? It is good to know that you should choose about 4 to 7 songs for a ceremony, depending on how important you think music is and how long your ceremony will last.
Sit down together and talk about which songs you both like. Are there songs that have a special meaning for you? Maybe the song you danced to or kissed for the first time? Or maybe a song that was playing when you were asked to marry? List your favourite songs. Start with a comprehensive list, and work up to about 5 songs.

Not all couples choose live music. If you do, your ceremony will already be quite unique. Live musicians can also make variations on the original song. By making your favourite song a little less up-tempo, playing it acoustically or playing with the length of the song, you can enjoy a unique version of your favourite song during your ceremony.

When the groom and the suite enter, my music partner plays instrumental piano music. Only when the bride, usually accompanied by her father, walks up the aisle do I sing their favourite entrance song. Believe me, time and time again you can read the emotion in people's eyes... Live music creates intense emotions. As a singer, you really get under the skin of the couple and of all the guests. I feel happy every time I see people enjoying my voice and our musical contribution.
