Getting married in grandeur
The fully restored Kasteel van Brasschaat truly sparks the imagination. In the light-filled rooms, you’ll find authentic elements throughout that beautifully highlight the castle’s classic character. Benjamin says: “Every detail of the interior has been carefully considered: the large chandeliers, the fireplace and wooden paneling, combined with modern touches such as the black steel window frames and a herringbone parquet floor. The moment you step inside, you feel completely immersed in castle life.”
According to Benjamin, that classic character is also reflected in the catering: “Since 2016, the operation of Kasteel van Brasschaat has been in the hands of J&M Catering. More recently, the caterer has been working there exclusively with its luxury brand Silverspoon. The exceptional menus created by Viki Geunes, the classic outfits worn by the waiters, and the silver cutlery all perfectly match the castle’s grandeur.”
A day full of possibilities
A castle often offers many different spaces—and that creates plenty of opportunities. “In sunny weather, we welcome you and your guests on our terrace for your ceremony and reception. Indoors, there are seven different rooms that can be fully styled to suit your taste and budget. Each space has its own charm, and the large windows and high ceilings create a wonderfully open, spacious feel.”
“In addition, on the first floor there are a number of smaller rooms. These are our so-called ‘private quarters’, where you and your wedding party can go at any time to freshen up.”
Romantic gardens
To complete the picture, Kasteel van Brasschaat is surrounded by greenery. “If you ask me, our castle is located in one of the most beautiful parks in Flanders,” Benjamin says proudly. “It almost feels like you’re in the south of France.”
“The water features and fountains create an idyllic setting for your wedding celebration—from a photoshoot in the rose garden to your ceremony on our terrace. We’ve even had a couple arrive at our venue by boat. Making your dreams come true? We do it with great love!”
