A ceremony that feels alive
At La Promessa, you won’t find templates or fixed formulas. Ceremony speaker and wedding planner Nathalie spends hours preparing each ceremony, always starting from the couple’s unique love story. “I’m truly a ‘feeling woman’. I listen, ask questions, and start from the couple’s personality. Their character, love journey, and dreams form the foundation for a story in which the couple fully recognizes themselves.”
To achieve that, she goes beyond a questionnaire or a short conversation. She speaks with both partners separately, invites them to dream and reflect, and then also visits family and friends. This gives her a richer picture: “Funny anecdotes, childhood memories, moments of resilience,... Together, it forms the foundation for a ceremony filled with warmth, humor, and surprises.”

Lovingly supported by loved ones
If couples are open to it, Nathalie also loves involving the guests in the ceremony. “For me, that’s the icing on the cake. This way, the ceremony becomes an unforgettable experience for the guests too. I enjoy coming up with creative ways to actively include everyone.”
“Think, for example, of a wish box where everyone can put in a kind message or a golden tip for a strong marriage. The couple may only open this box on their first wedding anniversary.”
“When the couple has children, I give them a special role in the ceremony. In a light-hearted way, they get to give their ‘approval’ before the vows.”

Emotion, music, and a touch of lightness
Beyond words, emotions and atmosphere play a major role. Nathalie doesn’t shy away from the more sensitive moments. She finds it meaningful to also give space to loved ones who have passed away. “These aren’t sad passages during a ceremony. They are moments when you can laugh warmly and talk about beautiful memories. That way, you give couples the feeling that the person they miss is still there with them on their big day.”
Music, too, is essential. “Music is the common thread that connects everything. An intimate song for the entrance, a lighthearted track that makes you smile spontaneously, or a surprising song that gains meaning within the story: the right music always elevates the ceremony.”
“And because a wedding is above all a celebration of joy, I believe a touch of humor is absolutely fitting. In consultation with the couple, I like to write my texts in a light tone and I’m not afraid to tease the bride and groom with a smile. That way, your ceremony becomes a story everyone will remember.”
