Quality Label

The House of Weddings Quality Label

Couples plan their weddings out of love, ideally with as much certainty as possible that their special day will be a success. Bye-bye, Bridezilla and Groomzilla ;-) That’s why House of Weddings awards the Quality Label to reliable and professional vendors in the Belgian wedding industry and beyond. Vendors who not only promise quality but truly deliver it. Because when couples say “I do,” they want to be able to count on partners who have mastered their craft down to the last detail.

How do we award the Quality Label?

At House of Weddings, we believe that quality is no accident. Every affiliated partner bears our Quality Label, and that is no empty promise. We award the label based on a carefully compiled set of criteria that collectively guarantee professionalism, experience, and reliability.

Specifically, we look at:

1. Focus on weddings

The vendor explicitly focuses on weddings and clearly communicates this on their own website and/or social media. Weddings constitute a significant portion of the supplier’s offerings. This is important because weddings have their own unique dynamics, timing, and emotional significance. Suppliers who consciously focus on this and have sufficient experience better understand what couples need on such a special day and can respond to those needs professionally.

2. Experience, Expertise & Recommendations

At House of Weddings, we strongly believe in the importance of experience. That’s why we focus on vendors who have been professionally active in the wedding industry for several years and have built up solid experience in organizing wedding celebrations. Because experience brings peace of mind, insight, and a solid foundation to the collaboration with couples. Experience ensures that a vendor can assess situations, find solutions under pressure, and guide couples with confidence, even when things don’t go as planned. That makes a significant difference on the wedding day itself and in the run-up to it.

Nevertheless, we do not close the door to promising entrepreneurs with a unique offering and strong ambition, even if they are not yet as far along in their journey. In exceptional cases, they may join, provided that their quality and professionalism are confirmed by multiple House of Weddings partners with a quality label who have already worked with them and endorse their craftsmanship.

3. Professional Structure & Operations

A reliable wedding vendor operates professionally, communicates clearly, and builds toward a sustainable future. That is why we expect every partner at House of Weddings to meet a number of basic requirements: a valid VAT number, accurate and transparent pricing & invoicing, positive online reviews, and a well-maintained, up-to-date website and social media presence.

Our approach to pricing: we don’t believe in a price war at the expense of quality, but in best value: the best partners for your money; vendors who are worth their price, thanks to proven quality, reliability, and a strong reputation. Cheap isn’t always better—we award the Quality Label to partners who make a difference and thus contribute to a healthy, professional sector where “cowboys” (who, for example, may no longer exist a year later) have no place.

In this way, we strive for a strong and healthy ecosystem of wedding vendors, where quality, honesty, and respect for each other’s work are central.

4. Customer-Friendliness & Customer Focus

At House of Weddings, we place great importance on a warm and professional collaboration with couples. We look at how vendors communicate, how accessible and clear they are, and to what extent they actively engage with the couple.

Partners with a quality label ensure a process that builds trust and supports couples at every stage of their wedding planning.

5. Classy, Professional Presentation

We believe that quality is also reflected in how a vendor presents themselves. That’s why it’s important for partners to pay attention to detail, aesthetics, and a consistent brand image, both online and in their work at a wedding.

Polished communication, a clear visual identity, and a portfolio of their own professional work contribute to that trust. Authenticity is central to this: we expect vendors to showcase their own work in an honest and transparent manner. We do not permit the use of AI-generated images for services they have not personally provided.

6. Safety & Reliability

For certain categories where safety and technical aspects play a significant role (such as event venues or catering), we encourage compliance with applicable standards regarding permits, insurance, and safety measures. Where relevant, we seek support from external experts in this regard.

In addition, we believe it is important for partners to conduct business in a conscious and respectful manner. We encourage the proper use of visual material (including credits), transparent communication, and a focus on sustainability and inclusivity in their operations.

Transparency & Trust

Our criteria are designed to give couples peace of mind. We want to ensure they feel they’re in good hands, so they can look forward to their special day with complete confidence! At the same time, we want to ensure that the wedding vendors who join us are part of a professional, like-minded, and inclusive community.

Quality Label Awards

We do this during the annual House of Weddings New Year’s event for wedding professionals in January—an inspiring gala evening filled with networking, knowledge sharing, and festive recognition within our community.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about House of Weddings and the Quality Label

What exactly is the House of Weddings Quality Label?

The House of Weddings Quality Label is a recognition for wedding vendors who excel in quality, professionalism, and reliability. Only vendors who meet our criteria are permitted to carry this label.

What does it mean if a vendor has the Quality Label?

When a vendor has the Quality Label, it means they have been actively vetted by our team, meet all quality criteria, and are part of our network of reliable vendors. Couples can therefore book them with confidence.

Does a vendor pay to receive the Quality Label?

No. A vendor does not pay to obtain the Quality Label. You earn our Quality Label—as a recognition of your years of dedication, consistently reliable service, and professional business practices in the wedding and events sector. Only those who meet our quality criteria are eligible to join.

What does a supplier pay House of Weddings for?

House of Weddings asks affiliated wedding suppliers for an annual fee for visibility on our platform and for access to our B2B network. House of Weddings covers all necessary marketing costs on behalf of all affiliated partners, including speakers we invite to webinars and events, and so on.

What are the criteria for the House of Weddings Quality Label?

We award the Quality Label based on six clear pillars:

  • Focus on weddings
  • Experience, expertise & recommendations
  • Professional structure & operations
  • Customer-friendliness & customer focus
  • Aesthetics & presentation
  • Safety & reliability

More details about each criterion can be found above.

What do you mean by “best value”?

By “best value,” we mean: vendors who—within any budget—are worth their price; the best choice in terms of quality, service, and reliability. We ensure fair pricing, proven craftsmanship, and a strong ecosystem centered on quality. It is up to each couple to decide for themselves how much of their budget they want to spend on each part of their wedding.

How do you guarantee the independence of the Quality Label?

House of Weddings recognizes all wedding vendors who deserve the Quality Label, regardless of any regional or other competitive tensions. Our screening process is substantively grounded, objective, and is regularly critically evaluated and adjusted. We work with external experts and do not take a commission on bookings. Our goal: trust and transparency, for both couples and vendors.

Does House of Weddings take a commission on bookings?

No. House of Weddings does not receive a commission from vendors. We do not charge a fee or percentage on bookings with the wedding vendors listed on our platform. Couples contact the vendor of their choice directly, using the contact methods on our platform. This way, the vendor retains full control over the customer relationship and their revenue, and couples can be sure they are paying for the vendor’s service and quality—not for additional middlemen.

For some recommendations of products or services outside our platform (such as a gift for a loved one), we may, in exceptional cases, receive a small commission if someone makes a purchase via a specific ‘affiliate link’ in our articles. This never entails any extra cost for you. On the contrary, when booking through us, you always choose ‘best value’—the best value for your money. We always disclose when an affiliate link is involved.

How often do you evaluate your suppliers?

Upon joining, every supplier undergoes a thorough screening process. Afterward, we actively monitor them through customer feedback and reviews, updates on their operations, and regular contact. We are in constant dialogue with our community of suppliers.

If you, as a couple, experience a service from an affiliated supplier that does not align with our values, please let us know via hello@houseofweddings.com.

Can a supplier be denied admission?

Yes. Every day, we receive applications from wedding suppliers who submit their candidacy to us. We have clear criteria; if a supplier does not meet them, admission will be denied. We consciously prioritize quality over quantity. That makes our label reliable—for couples and suppliers alike.

Can new businesses also become partners?

At House of Weddings, we strongly believe in the importance of experience. That’s why we focus on vendors who have been professionally active in the wedding industry for several years and have built up solid experience in organizing wedding celebrations. However, we understand that not every entrepreneur follows the same path. Perhaps someone has just started their own business but has gained years of experience at another company. Or maybe someone has built a thriving business in the events sector and is now expanding into weddings. Even then, we review the application with an open mind. What matters to us is professionalism, growth potential, and how one approaches clients.

That is why we do not close the door to promising entrepreneurs with a unique offering and strong ambition, even if they are not yet as far along in their journey. In exceptional cases, they may join, provided that their quality and professionalism are confirmed by multiple House of Weddings partners with a quality label who have already worked with them and endorse their craftsmanship.

How does House of Weddings distinguish itself from other platforms?

House of Weddings focuses on quality, not quantity. On our platform, you’ll find only reliable vendors, whom we’ve screened based on numerous selection criteria. We do not charge a commission on bookings and only feature wedding vendors who meet our Quality Label standards.
