Our publishing policy

Are you just married, and would love to immortalise the magic of your wedding?
Are you a talented wedding supplier, and proud of your latest achievement? (Please note: if you are not a photographer yourself, you will need the permission of the bride and groom and the photographer).

This will increase your chances* of getting your submission published:

  • Send us professional-quality photos and/or video that tell the story of your wedding day from beginning to end:
    • Please submit 100 images (without watermark, please 1 individual image each - no collages)
    • Please include 80% colour images
    • Wedding styling and decorative details offer strong visual added value.
  • Make sure your images have the right proportions (3000x2000 pixels) and send them to us via Dropbox. Your film(s) will find their way to us most easily via YouTube. The most viewed videos are short films: teasers, highlights, a short overview of the day, ...
  • Provide us with a detailed, fine description using the following questions:
    • Fun title: describe your type of event (wedding party, engagement shoot or inspiration shoot) and indicate where it took place
    • Location: give the name of the party room and where it is located (city/country)
    • Description: let us know what inspired you to plan your party! Our readers would love to know what thoughts went through your mind, what considerations you made and why you chose exactly the design and organisation of your party. From your recent experience, do you have any advice for future brides? Tell us all about it!
  • Give us a list of those top suppliers (and the URLs of their websites) who contributed to your beautiful day... Especially your photographer, wedding planner, wedding designer, ballroom, florist and bridal fashion designer we would love to know about! Without the name of the photographer in question and his/her consent, we cannot proceed with publication.
    • Are you a wedding supplier yourself, and do you recognise a photo of your work on our website or social media that does not include your credits? If so, be sure to let us know. House of Weddings does not always receive the full supplier list for each wedding. We like to recognise everyone's work and talent, and in doing so we would like to do our bit to help the wedding industry grow in quality.
  • Send us your submission via e-mail or via a direct link to your Dropbox folder.

Our readers and readers love standing photos of the bride and groom, photos of the bridal bouquet and floral details, bridesmaids' outfits, wedding cake, invitations and wedding styling details immensely.

Inspiration shoots?

In case your submission is a styled shoot, we would like to see a fresh concept and inspiring images, with a mix of portraits, bridal fashion & accessories and decorative elements. In addition, at least one partner must be a member of House of Weddings to be eligible for free publication.

Single photos?

Don't have a photo series, but do you have some fun single photos you'd like to share with us? Feel free to send them to us at support@houseofweddings.com we will gladly publish them on occasion with the appropriate photo credits.

*House of Weddings cannot guarantee that every photo series will be published - but we will try!

We kindly ask you to disclose at least the photographer with every entry, and preferably to provide us with as many names of your involved wedding suppliers as possible. That way, you give us the chance to thank them via a mention for their professional help before, during and after your most beautiful day! If we do not know a photographer, and/or do not get his or her explicit permission for publication, unfortunately we cannot publish your photos.

Legal

Last but not least, make sure you definitely have permission to offer us these images for publication. House of Weddings commits to only publish images of couples, photographers or other wedding suppliers who gave their explicit consent to publish images related to the wedding party organised for or by them. By providing us with photo or video material, you give House of Weddings permission to publish these images on www.houseofweddings.com and the House of Weddings social media channels.
