Blind Getrouwd 2025: Innovative Anniversary Edition
This year marks the tenth season of Blind Getrouwd, a milestone for the popular show that has been taking all of Flanders on the adventure of blind marriage since 2016. As every year, we follow four couples who see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Their marriage, celebration, and honeymoon are fully organized by the show. From wedding dress to venue: everything is provided in collaboration with Belgian wedding suppliers.
This anniversary edition also features many novelties, including a brand-new team: Frances Lefebure hosts the season, while psychologists Nina Callens and Lennart Cok and sexologist Goedele Liekens support the couples. Additionally, the candidates will meet each other for the first time even before saying "I do," in the Handelsbeurs in Antwerp. Though blindfolded, they can meet and ask some questions. The 2025 edition also introduces dinner parties, where the different couples can share their experiences together. Behind the scenes, the experts follow along. Finally, the participants will go on an 'ultimate date' together as a final test right before the decision moment.
Sien & Ziggy
The episodes of the new season of Blind Getrouwd 2025 have started since Monday, November 10. The first couple to say "I do" are Sien, 29, from Tremelo and Ziggy, 31, from Ertvelde. They were matched by the experts and married without having seen each other before. In the coming weeks, we will discover how their relationship develops.
Ziggy found his suit at SKM in Aartselaar. He chose a burgundy suit, completed with a bow tie and suspenders. Sien found her dream dress at JPC Collection in Antwerp. “There is so much choice!” she said enthusiastically. Sien wanted the dress to be somewhat sexy and have country & cowboy vibes, matching her lifestyle. She chose a strapless dress with a lace bodice, lace off shoulder sleeves, and a long skirt with two high slits. After some hesitation, she completed her look with a veil instead of a beige cowboy hat.

Sien got ready at B&B De Tiendeschuur in Evergem. Then, Sien and Ziggy first saw each other at the Kasteel van Wippelgem in Evergem, where they said 'yes' to each other. After the ceremony, their photoshoot was held at the Verbeke Foundation, with top wedding photographer Yves Schepers. He knew perfectly where to capture the best shots!
Sien and Ziggy then went to Kasteel Rozelaar in Lochristi for their wedding party. The delicious catering for the reception and dinner was provided by Coeur Catering. During the dinner, all guests sat at one long table. The stylish decor, furniture, and arrangement were provided by Levi Party Rental. Instead of a slow, Sien chose an upbeat dance to Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA for their opening dance. The party kicked off right away!

Paulien & Kim
Kim, 33, from Schaerbeek, and Paulien, 29, from Ghent, were the second couple to say "I do." Paulien found her wedding dress at bridal shop Obèl in Ghent. She wanted a dress in which she would feel comfortable, and that her future wife would definitely find beautiful as well. She chose a stunning dress with a beautiful back neckline and veil.
Kim found her dream dress at Karolien Verstraeten. She chose a two-piece dress consisting of a top with spaghetti straps and detachable, off shoulder puff sleeves in a transparent fabric, and a long skirt with a lovely slit. Kim shared how she couldn’t imagine herself in wedding attire before; it was an emotional and beautiful moment.

On the big day, Kim had her makeup done by a professional artist at B&B Petit Prince in Ghent. In the beautiful setting of the garden at the Sint-Pietersabdij in Ghent, rich with a thousand years of history, Paulien and Kim said "I do" to each other. The garden was beautifully decorated with colorful purple, red, and pink flowers and red and white ribbons on the trees. It was a cinematic moment when they saw each other here for the first time, as Kim beautifully described it. After the ceremony, the newlyweds did their photoshoot in downtown Ghent, where sparks flew instantly.

Kim and Paulien's wedding party was held in the characterful venue Fabrika in Ghent. Coeur Catering provided the delicious dinner here as well. For the party, Kim gave her wedding dress from Karolien Verstraeten a lovely twist. Here, she wore a matching transparent blouse with sleeves over the top, for a slightly different second look. Paulien and Kim did their opening dance to live music, to the meaningful song invisible string by Taylor Swift.

After the party, Kim and Paulien spent their wedding night at the majestic Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof in Ghent. Here they also enjoyed a delicious breakfast in bed the next morning.

Ellen & Leander
In the second episode of Blind Getrouwd 2025, we were introduced to the next couple: Ellen, 31, from Oud-Turnhout, and Leander, 34, from Wachtebeke. The broadcast on Wednesday, November 12, showed how this couple began their journey. Notably, new episodes are currently aired twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Leander found his suit at SKM in Aartselaar. He chose a beige suit with a bow tie. As a nice detail, he had embroidered in his suit: “Leander & …”, followed by their wedding date. Ellen was looking for a wedding dress that her family and friends would say: “Yes, that's Ellen.” She found that dress at JPC Collection in Antwerp – a dreamy dress with many layers of transparent fabric, a belt, elegant neckline, and gracefully finished with a few lace flowers.
Ellen and Leander said "I do" in the town hall of Lochristi, beautifully decorated with colorful flowers from LOTS Flower Art.

After their photoshoot with wedding photographer Fille Roelants, Ellen and Leander went to Blanc Fixe in Drongen for their wedding party. The venue was atmospherically decorated with large disco balls and ambiance lights. Here, the guests could enjoy a 'pop-up petanque' game provided by Fou De Boules during the reception. The newlyweds and their guests then savored the dinner by Coeur Catering.

Maïté & Ian
In the third episode of Blind Getrouwd 2025, the last couple, Maïté, 27, from Waasmunster, and Ian, 29, from Vorselaar, tied the knot. Maïté found her dream dress at JPC Collection in Antwerp. It was a fitted dress with a long train, long puff sleeves, and a beautiful neckline, elegantly finished with small buttons on the sleeves and back. Ian chose to wear his military uniform, as a sub-officer in the air force, during the ceremony. He then wore a dark blue suit he found at suit store SKM in Aartselaar for the photoshoot and party.
Ian got ready for the wedding at B&B La Corderie in Hamme. Then, Maïté and Ian first saw each other at Kasteel Blauwendael in Waasmunster, where they immediately said "yes" to each other. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds did their photoshoot on the military domain of Brasschaat, with top wedding photographer Philippe Swiggers. He immediately put the couple at ease during the shoot. There, they also encountered the helicopter in which Ian is learning to fly, and to Maïté’s great surprise, they flew together to their party venue: the beautiful Kasteel van Brasschaat. “From one castle to another, it seems like a fairytale wedding,” Ian enthusiastically told Maïté.

After landing with the helicopter on the grounds of Kasteel van Brasschaat, Ian and Maïté enjoyed a wonderful reception and dinner here with their guests, provided by J&M Catering. Their opening dance took place outdoors, at the bottom of the castle steps, beautifully surrounded by a thousand candles.

Decoration and Flowers
The beautiful decoration, furnishings, and furniture at the weddings of Blind Getrouwd 2025 were provided by Levi Party Rental. The wedding venues were also elegantly adorned with colorful flowers by LOTS Flower Art.

On Honeymoon to... Switzerland!
In episode four of Blind Getrouwd 2025, all the couples went on honeymoon to... Switzerland! Each couple stayed in a different hotel in the Swiss canton of Vaud: Ellen & Leander stayed in the bridal suite at Le Mirador Resort & Spa, Sien & Ziggy were in Hotel Les Mazots du Clos. Kim & Paulien found themselves at Hôtel de Rougemont & Spa, overlooking a ‘aqua-blue sea green’ stream - or was it apple-blue sea green? Maïté & Ian enjoyed their stay at Hôtel La Barcarolle.
After the Honeymoon
After the honeymoon, the couples moved in together in the episode of Monday, December 1. The apartments were beautifully decorated by interior stylist Blossom Bé. Here, the couples get to know each other in daily life, discovering what it’s like to live together. Cooking together or for each other is also part of it, with the help of Foodbag! Ian made a healthy Caesar salad for Maïté and Ellen also made a delicious dish from Foodbag for Leander.
