Super romantic
In no other season do light and dark, warm and cold intertwine so intensely. Winter is a season of extremes, when we crave light and warmth. We turn on extra lighting, light candles, stoke the fireplace at home, and enjoy each other’s company around a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. How romantic—to soon say your wedding vows during the most wonderful time of the year...

Exceptionally beautiful light
In winter, the Earth is tilted at a different angle relative to the sun. As a result, the sun’s maximum height is much lower than in the height of summer. That’s why winter brings exceptionally beautiful light and stunning colors—something your photographer and videographer will absolutely love. You’ll be amazed by the result when you see your wedding photos and wedding film.
Availability of your pros
If you plan your wedding on a date between November and March, you might just manage to book all your favorite wedding professionals. The venue of your dreams may still have several dates available, and your number one caterer, photographer and DJ are likely still free too. No decision stress for you!
Comfort food
In winter, we love warming ourselves from the inside with delicious comfort food. Discuss with your caterer which ingredients and dishes are top of mind for them during winter, and treat yourself to the tastiest oven bakes, burgers, soups, and stews for your menu. And what about a hot chocolate after your ceremony?

A summery honeymoon
During the winter months, it gets dark early and fairly cold on this side of the globe. If you head off for your honeymoon to, for example, Australia, Africa, or South America, you’re guaranteed to find sunshine there! An added bonus: traveling during our low season means you’ll avoid the crowds at well-known tourist hotspots.
