Larissa and Simen
The first couple we met was Larissa and Simen, who wed in Ranst. Larissa found her princess dress with lace detail at E&R Wedding and Fashion in Beringen. A beautiful neckline was important for Larissa; she shone in her wedding dress! Simen found his wedding suit at Herenmode De Waele in Sint-Niklaas. It was a mint green suit with unique detailing, featuring a trendy leopard print lining inside his jacket.

Besides a leopard print, bear paw prints would also have suited Simen. He was immediately dubbed a 'cuddle bear' by Larissa’s ‘moeke,’ whom he got to meet the night before their wedding.
Simen chose very original wedding transportation. Being a self-employed earthmover, he went to the town hall by tractor. It almost seemed as if Larissa was participating in Farmer Wants a Wife; she coincidentally called herself a 'farmer girl.' The couple exchanged vows at Vrieselhof in Ranst. After the ceremony and photoshoot, Larissa and Simen celebrated with friends and family at Barn64 in Brasschaat.
Karlien and Thomas
Our second couple in Married at First Sight 2024 is Karlien and Thomas. Karlien found her wedding gown at JB Couture in Hasselt. She chose a fitted, classic dress with a lace bodice—simple and elegant! Karlien’s grandmother was also a huge fan of this dress. Thomas found his suit at Cassari in Mechelen. He opted for a dark green suit with a jungle print inside his jacket. He completed his look with a bow tie featuring a striking pattern.

Both Karlien and Thomas were surprised by a special encounter. For Thomas, it was an emotional reunion with his sister, who had embarked on a world tour a month earlier, and returned unexpectedly for his wedding. Karlien thus got to meet Thomas’s sister on the night before their wedding celebration.
Like Simen, Thomas also opted for original and environmentally friendly wedding transport. He rode his racing bike to the town hall. Thomas doesn't have a driver’s license and always travels everywhere by bike. Karlien and Thomas married at the Provincial Council building in Hasselt. That evening, their wedding celebration took place at De Bloemfabriek in Geel, where beautiful sunflowers hung from the ceiling.

Jorina and Jidse
In the Monday, September 16 episode of Married at First Sight 2024, we got to know Jorina and Jidse. Jorina found her dream dress at La Tiara in Antwerp. She shared that she lost 15 kg some time ago and now feels better and more confident in her own skin. As a result, she sought a dress that fitted her more closely and highlighted her form beautifully. She quickly found the perfect dress in which she felt completely at ease. “I can do anything in this, even eat and dance!” Jorina laughed.

Jidse found his wedding suit at Atelier ACÀN in Ghent. He chose a dark green tailored suit with a beige tie. His proud father was present and approved of the suit entirely. The night before their wedding, Jorina got to meet Jidse’s father, who accidentally mentioned Jidse’s name; luckily, Jorina didn't catch it well and still had to guess her future husband's name for a while longer.

Jorina and Jidse were married in the town hall of Mechelen. Following their first meeting, ceremony, and photoshoot, their wedding celebration took place in banquet hall Den Oven in Boom. The room was decorated with many colorful flowers and tropical palm leaves. The delicious dinner was perfectly catered by Amitude Catering. Jorina and Jidse’s delightful and impressive wedding cake was provided by Karolien Beyens.

Britt and Jonas
The fourth and final couple we meet in Married at First Sight 2024 had an unusual start in the program. For Jonas, the experts had not yet found the right match. As an exception, they issued a call to find an additional candidate who would like to marry Jonas ‘blind.’ Though not clearly visible in the video, it did reveal some important information, including his name, age, voice, some physical characteristics, his job, interests, and his great wish: to explore the world with his dog and wife. This particularly motivated Britt to apply. Unlike other participants, Britt had some prior knowledge and specifically applied for Jonas.
Britt found her perfect wedding dress at Karolien Verstraeten. The playful, two-piece dress—buttoned at the back with sheer sleeves—completely exuded ‘Britt,’ confirmed her entourage. Britt shared contentedly: “I haven’t always been confident about my body; in this dress, I do feel genuinely beautiful.” To remain true to herself, Britt paired the dress with a lovely pair of white sneakers. Jonas found his wedding suit at Lost in Pablos in Ghent. He chose a light green suit with a brown bow tie and a brown checked waistcoat.

The night before their wedding, Britt was completely surprised by a visit from her (future) mother-in-law. The next morning, Jonas received a detailed report about their meeting from his mother at B&B Koeketiene in Ghent. She shared Britt’s name with him, so he didn’t have to marry entirely 'blind.'
Britt and Jonas were married in the Ghent St. Peter's Abbey. In previous seasons of Married at First Sight, we have seen couples marry in the romantic abbey garden. In Married at First Sight 2023, Emma and Emile exchanged vows here, and in Married at First Sight 2022, Brecht and Dziubi. On Britt and Jonas's wedding day, it rained, so their ceremony took place in the majestic Chapter Room of the St. Peter's Abbey. This beautiful wedding location was fully adorned for their wedding with bright blue chairs, pink and red roses, and small trees.

After a smooth photoshoot—during which Britt and Jonas walked in the rain, jumped over puddles, and sheltered under an umbrella—their wedding celebration took place at rooftop Gaston, with a magnificent view over the Ghent skyline. The cozy banquet hall was decorated with pink and red roses and candles. Coeur Catering provided a special vegetarian Tsai stew for Britt. “Mega delicious!” exclaimed the enthusiastic bride.

After the superb dinner by Coeur Catering, Britt, Jonas, and their friends and family enjoyed a delightful wedding cake by Karolien Beyens. The newlyweds then performed their opening dance to the romantic song Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. For this, Britt partially changed her outfit, pairing a sparkling top with thin straps with her skirt from Karolien Verstraeten.

Additionally, this supplier contributed to the wedding celebrations of Married at First Sight 2024: Picobello provided the beautiful event rentals—the decorations and furnishings, etc.

Honeymoon to... Mexico!
Larissa & Simen and Karlien & Thomas were the first to depart on their honeymoon to... Mexico! Both couples stayed at the TRS Yucatan Hotel near Cancún. Meanwhile, Jorina & Jidse and Britt & Jonas also arrived here. All couples met briefly, after which Larissa & Simen and Karlien & Thomas returned home to start living together for the first time... Exciting!
❤
Karlien & Thomas and Jorina & Jidse chose to remain married even after the experiment concluded. House of Weddings warmly congratulates all the participants of Married at First Sight 2024 and wishes them much success!
The fifth wedding: Lorenzo and Sil
“The more love, the better!” said the experts of Married at First Sight 2024. Therefore, they sought a fifth match for the program, which received its own series of episodes after the airing of other weddings. As they did for Jonas, they launched a call video for Lorenzo, after which Sil promptly applied. On the same day, Lorenzo and Sil chose their wedding suits at Lost in Pablos in Ghent, hours apart. Coincidentally, their bow ties matched each other’s suits perfectly: Lorenzo wore a brown suit with a dark green bow tie, and Sil wore a dark green suit with a brown bow tie. Lorenzo had the phrase “Everything will be alright” embroidered in his suit, which Sil happened to write on the card with the gift—Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs—that he sent to Lorenzo on their wedding morning.
Sil and Lorenzo exchanged vows on October 25, 2024, at the town hall of Deerlijk. During their subsequent photoshoot at the Wintercircus in Ghent, sparks flew from the screen. After the ceremony and photoshoot, Lorenzo and Sil went to their reception venue, De Wilde Brouwers in Merelbeke. The delightful catering was provided by Amitude Catering. Many delicious and beautifully presented dishes were served. Finally, a dessert buffet and a beautiful wedding cake were offered. Again, Picobello provided the stylish decorations, furnishings, and décor at this location. During the party, Ingeborg used a Polaroid camera for photos and asked guests to write tips for the couple on the back. A fun idea—also for your wedding?

After their wedding celebration, Lorenzo and Sil spent the night at the wondrous Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof in Ghent. The couple was enthusiastic about their splendid room and the heart-shaped leaf arrangement on the bed. The next morning, the newlyweds enjoyed a delightful and extensive breakfast in bed. They then departed for their honeymoon to... Cyprus! The couple stayed at the Aphrodite Hills Resort in Paphos.

House of Weddings warmly congratulates Lorenzo & Sil! Wishing you much success and love!
