A-line
The A-line is characterised by the fitted top and the flared skirt that merge at the waist. This fit is one of the most popular models in the wedding market. This wedding dress is perfect for brides with a slim waist and wide hips.
Babydoll
With the babydoll dress, there is little difference between the bodice and the skirt. You could describe the babydoll as a flared skirt with sleeves. Because of this, the skirt starts at the breasts and thus your waistline is optically much higher. Thus, the babydoll makes you optically longer and this cut is suitable for slightly smaller women with a rather straight figure. Moreover, the babydoll is often seen as a short wedding dress.
Empire
With the empire, the waistband of the wedding dress is higher than your natural waistline. This makes the empire look like the babydoll dress, but usually the skirt extends just below your breasts towards the bottom. The empire dress camouflages a tummy because the skirt runs straight down. Like the babydoll, this model makes you look taller and accentuates your slim lower body.
Princess

The main difference is that this dress only widens from the knees onwards. This creates a wedding dress with a pencil skirt and flared train.
