Brides in 2018
During Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, we saw that the ‘Millennial’ bride, with her free spirit, refined personality, and sensual attitude, completely dominates the trends on the catwalk. Romance, elegance, and sensuality are therefore the three main ingredients for next year's bridal fashion. The bride in 2018 is looking for the perfect dress that reflects her own personality and style and showcases her femininity in all its beauty.
1. Capes
Long to the ground, short to the waist, with or without a hood and in a variety of fabrics: capes are a big trend in 2018. Starting at the shoulder, they fall beautifully over the back and give your look a medieval feel. As if you were a damsel...

2. See-through effects
In 2018, we are seeing a lot of tops and dresses that leave quite a bit to the imagination. These see-through dresses and tops are mainly made of lace, but you also see them in other fabrics. Very sexy – but don't forget to invest in some skin-colored underwear!

3. Sleeves in the spotlight
Long sleeves, short sleeves, or three-quarter sleeves. Cuff sleeves, cap sleeves, puff sleeves, or one-sided sleeves. In lace, tulle, silk, or organza. Loose or fitted. Designers often play very creatively with the sleeves of their designs.

4. Bling bling
Diamonds, pearls, stones, rhinestones, sequins... Everything that sparkles is not subtle, but very prominent on the bodice, the top, on your dress or as accessories in your outfit. For a very opulent look!

5. 3D flowers
- Flowers are not new, but in 2018 they will take on a new dimension: 3D. The flowers will be sewn onto your dress, cape, or skirt as if you could pluck them right off...

An extra low-cut back, sleek or trimmed with a subtle lace border, this trend has been around for the past two years, and in 2018, the sexy, open back remains a hit.

With laser cut dresses, a laser is used to create a specific pattern by cutting away other pieces of fabric. The result is a fairly repetitive pattern that recurs throughout the dress. Incredibly trendy!

Straight or square tops with a sleek cut hang like a vest, loosely over a dress or a fitted bodice. For a modern, sleek look & feel. Perfect for brides who don't like too much fuss.

Ribbons are mainly seen in the same shade as the dress or skirt, and occasionally in a tone-on-tone matching shade such as soft pink or subtle silver. They hang loosely or are tied into a pretty bow. These bows are everywhere: in a subtle belt, small playful bows, large eye-catching ones... They make your outfit just a little bit more romantic, or just very cheerful, playful, and girly. For princess brides-to-be.

Feathers and fringes are perhaps the most striking and surprising trend of 2018. Very unique, a little bit special, and a trend for the truly daring. They give you a boho-chic and hippie look, and create an incredibly fashionable bridal look!
