Traditionally, a bachelorette party is a sequence of surprises for the bride or groom-to-be. Choose activities that you know the bride or groom will enjoy. Is the bride a real beauty fan? Then choose a makeup session with all the girlfriends. Is the groom a car freak? Then rent some lanes in a karting and let him race against his friends. Of course, you can always secretly ask the bride or groom in question what she or he has always dreamed of for her or his bachelor party....
At a bachelorette party, you can do whatever you want. Depending on the type that bride or groom is, -more adventurous, relaxed, calm or wild-, your bachelorette activity is going to look different. If the bride or groom likes adventure, then go for more exciting activities such as paintball, laser game or high ropes course. If the bride or groom is more of a quiet type, prefer to opt for a makeup workshop or an evening of board games. But remember, anything goes!
Determine whether the bride or groom is the type who likes to celebrate her or his bachelorette with all her or his best friends, siblings - or prefers to party in an intimate setting. Before the bachelor party, ask the suit members, important friends and possibly colleagues with whom the bride or groom has a good relationship. If in doubt, you can certainly also inquire with the bride or groom who she or he definitely wants (or doesn't want!) to be there.
A bachelor party was traditionally planned as close to the wedding date as possible. Today, this is no longer necessarily the case and the bachelorette party can take place several months to weeks before the actual wedding. Try to organize the bachelorette party on a Friday or Saturday so that everyone who works on weekdays can attend. Send out bachelorette party invitations at least six weeks in advance so that the most important guests can keep their schedules clear.
