Booking a DJ in West Flanders? Here's how to go about it:
When looking for a DJ for your wedding or other party, it's important to choose a professional DJ that matches the look and feel of the event. Also consider the music preferences of your guests so that the songs make for a smashing party!
Hiring a DJ with experience is extremely important. An experienced all-round DJ can easily adapt to different genres of music and knows how to build up the atmosphere to get everyone on the dance floor. So choose a DJ with the necessary experience and expertise.
It is very important to thoroughly explore and discuss the location of your party with your DJ. Whether it is indoors or outdoors, in a ballroom or another location, your DJ should preferably know what the possibilities are and where the equipment can be loaded and unloaded. It is also important to consider any noise limits.
Do you want to give your party that little bit extra? Then choose a DJ who collaborates with a live artist, for example a saxophonist. This duo provides more interaction and gives a nice twist to the music.
FAQ DJ:
Start your search for a DJ early. Depending on how popular the DJ is and the date of your party, it is advisable to book your DJ several months to a year in advance.
It is definitely recommended to share playlist ideas with your DJ. However, keep in mind that not every song will be played. The DJ will rely on your wishes to guide his or her set and will respond to the audience accordingly. You can also request a "must play" list of songs that are important to your party.
Ask for some examples or references of performances where the DJ has already played. Possibly the DJ has a YouTube or Sound Cloud channel where you can listen to his or her style. Such a preview can help you make the right choice.
Most DJs will provide their own lighting and sound equipment. Discuss this in advance with your DJ to make sure everything meets your needs and expectations. If the DJ does not provide his or her own lighting and sound system, you or your party venue can always rent your own.
The cost of hiring a DJ can vary depending on the DJ's experience, the length of the party, the equipment needed and more. Discuss the cost and any additional costs, such as travel expenses, with the DJ in advance.
