1. A wealth of knowledge and experience
A wedding planner has a wealth of knowledge and experience in organising dream weddings. Sophie fromArt of Events says: "When you're organising a wedding, you have to make a lot of choices. It helps to have an expert with a wide range of knowledge and experience on your side. That way, we can keep you well informed and help you make the right choices. Your wedding planner will give you new ideas, show you all the possible options and help you to think about what is possible and what is not. A good wedding planner is versatile: we know the wines, the caterer, the ceremonies, all the possible rituals, etc. We also have good relationships with other wedding service providers. Thanks to our experience, we can quickly find the service providers that suit you best."
Isabelle from Be Your Guest has this advice for us: "Define your priorities: it's better to invest a little and well than to want a little of everything! A good wedding planner will guide you in defining your priorities and choosing the right partners."
2. Making your dream come true
By listening carefully to your specific wishes, wedding planners turn your dreams into reality. Davy d'Alle Gebeure says : "As a wedding planner, we ensure that your wedding is personalised and tells your love story. During the preparations for your wedding, we offer you numerous options and solutions. Based on your wishes, we then design your stylish and elegant wedding down to the last detail. So you can enjoy your engagement and wedding day to the full".
Hera from Wedding Dreamworx explains how to realise the vision of your dreams: "As wedding planners, we often get questions like "How do others do it?" or "Have you seen this before at weddings?". So we're the ideal people to inform couples about the advantages and disadvantages of certain choices and reassure them about them. At the same time, we like to inspire couples to make their own choices. To the question "Can we do that?", we answer without hesitation "Yes, it's your party!". So we encourage them to opt for option C and do something different for once, that really feels like them."
Isabelle from Be Your Guest adds the following, "A wedding planner can start from the emotions that you, the bride and groom, want to leave in the hearts of your guests and build on that like a good wedding planner! "
3. A solid overall concept of organisation and decoration
Sophie from Art of Events talks about the advantages of decorative wedding planners: "We see the advantage above all as a fine balance between someone bringing structure to your story and your choices and creating a wonderful celebration with flowers and other decorations. As decorative wedding planners, we work from an overall concept. For example, we have our own flower workshop and include atmospheric decorative elements such as candles in our packages. This way, your party is not only well organised, it's also decorative, with beautiful flowers."
4. Down to the last detail
Hera from Wedding Dreamworx elaborates on the final touches of your wedding: "A wedding planner makes sure that the style you've chosen is respected right down to the last detail. Where the bride and groom might leave off, we think of everything, even the smallest details, such as a personalised monogram that appears everywhere or high-quality candles that burn for a long time. We also know how to react to pouring rain or bright sunshine - and, for example, how best to position you and your guests in this case.
Details make perfection, but perfection is a detail.
5. Better budget management
If you've decided on a budget for your wedding, a wedding planner will help you stick to it and find the best suppliers in terms of value for money. Silke from Atelier Rosé explains: "A wedding planner will develop your unique, tailor-made concept. In doing so, we always take your budget into account. As budget management experts, we know the right prices on the wedding market and where to find them. You can also be sure that the wedding planners are working with the best suppliers for your wedding. Everything is taken care of down to the last detail and no important issue is overlooked, including the budget. That way, you won't have any surprises."
"Wedding planners have a better idea of the prices on the market and can therefore give useful advice to future brides and grooms," Isbelle from Be Your Guest tells us.
6. Personal adviser
A wedding planner is the contact person for your guests at your wedding party. This allows you and your partner to enjoy your big day to the full without having to deal with sudden problems or questions from guests. Bénédicte from Imagine WE says: " Feeling listened to, supported and guided in the few months leading up to the wedding will help you relax and, more importantly, relieve stress with a professional. You'll have a professional to talk to about your concerns and wishes."
Bénédicte of Imagine WE adds, " I always give my brides and grooms a to-do list so they can visualise the tasks that need to be completed, which contributes to a stress-free wedding."
7. Total assistance
So using a wedding planner can save you a lot of hassle. Sara Akrimi of The Ivory House says : "A wedding planner is much more than just a planner. It goes without saying that they know the ropes, they're structured and they leave no stone unturned. We're trained to put out fires discreetly and to use our expertise to provide effective solutions where needed. What's more,we build lasting relationships with professional suppliers who willingly go the extra mile for us - for top quality."
"A wedding planner is responsible for organising and planning all aspects of a wedding and guiding the bride and groom so they can enjoy their special day without stress or worry," Alexandra from ABH-Event tells us.
Sara continues: "That's the objective part of the job. But it's much more than that. For me, the strength of an organiser lies in the combination of the aforementioned skills and the deep links with their clients. As an organiser, you have an incredibly intimate relationship with your future brides and grooms. You know them inside out and know exactly what they want, often before they even know themselves. You want nothing more than to take their worries away throughout the process and give them the best day of their lives. And that's exactly what we do.
8. And, most importantly: considerable time savings
One of the main advantages of a wedding planner is that it will save you an enormous amount of time. Organising a wedding can take a lot of time. Evelyn from Planned 4 You explains: "A wedding planner takes charge of this task and gives the necessary advice. This gives you peace of mind and allows you to concentrate on other more enjoyable things, such as trying on wedding dresses or choosing wedding rings."
And on the wedding itself! Bénédicte from Imagine WE tells us: "The suppliers know me and I'm the reference person on the wedding day. So they don't ask any questions of the bride and groom or the guests, who can enjoy the day 100%."
As well as saving you time in organising your wedding, a wedding planner will allow you to spend more time with your friends and family on your wedding day. "Your wedding planner takes care of everything on your wedding day. We create a common thread for the whole party. In this way,we guarantee you more quality time with your loved ones - and a WOW effect with your guests! You get to enjoy more special moments with your loved ones, without worrying about the organisation or running of your wedding day", explains Eline from Elegant Events.
9. Your training partner and your sidekick
Marlies from Dame Blanche sums it up once again : "A wedding planner is a bit like your sidekick for all the preparations. Do you want a stress-free wedding and a party you've never dreamed of? Then hire a wedding planner!"
